Very sturdy quality easel!

I am enjoying the use of this table easel. I was wanting an easel that could stand up straight as well as tilt back, and it works great. The back is sturdy and does not tilt at all when I use the front completely vertical. It is also very easy to adjust.

Highly recommended!

I use this to hold a board for painting watercolors. The board cam be held securely by the upper grip. It's easily adjustable to a desired angle. I purchased a $1.00 non skid mat at the Dollar Store to prevent it from sliding on my desktop. This easel is well made and looks like a piece of furniture.

Very versatile, well-crafted table easel, worth the price!

I bought this so I could work on various crafting tasks without hurting my neck and shoulders. I tried ordering something cheaper, but it was so poorly made it wasn't even worth what I paid for it. So I splurged on this. And I'm so happy! This is excellently crafted and a joy to use. I would recommend putting some sort of friction pad underneath to keep it from sliding under moderate pressure, but otherwise have no complaints!

Very disappointed

Given all the rave reviews, I was excited to use this for sketching and watercolor. Unfortunately I am quite disappointed as my easel seems to be warped or twisted. One of the bottom edges is canted upward slightly from the other and does not firmly contact the desktop which causes an annoying wobble. When the drawing surface is angled up, there is a noticeable sloping away of one side. When raised, top corners differ from one another in height by up to 2 cm. This might also explain why I find it difficult to tighten the height adjustment knobs firmly enough so that the surface does not sag down while in use. The unit has been well cared for, only lightly used, and has never experienced any water damage. I purchased this last year and sadly it it is far too late to return it. It is not completely unusable but not the experience I was hoping for. I would return it if I could.

Perfect for a place tight on space!

I recently moved into a studio apartment and REALLY wanted to get back into sketching regularly. My new place didn't have space for my old drafting table without feeling super cramped, so I had to get rid of it. I have plenty of counter space, so I was hoping to get a nice tabletop easel and this is perfect! The box it comes in looks so small and is so light that I honestly thought I'd received the wrong item, but this small but mighty easel is perfect and exactly what I was looking for! I just got the package yesterday, but I've already been sketching on it for a few hours now. Great for my posture and it's nice and sturdy. I'm admittedly surprised with the great quality structure of it considering the weight (or lack thereof)! Anyway, I'd buy this one again and totally recommend it to anyone who's curious. Make sure you're aware of the dimensions -- it was exactly what I wanted, but might be a bit small for some. Fits my 14" x 17" sketch pad perfectly, but that's probably the largest pad I'd place on it. Probably great for painters as well!

I wanted a way to paint and draw and write without bending over so far. I bought this easel, hoping for something sturdy. What i got was a very attractive piece of furniture. It IS sturdy, it looks nice and it's easy to use. You don't need to be a mechanic to adjust it. I love it.

Very Good Quality Easel

When I finally got around to using this easel I realized that I had made a really good purchase! I am beyond pleased with it. This is my first table top easel. I usually stand at an easel and paint, BUT, I am now painting smaller paintings and it is absolutely perfect.

Mabef Desktop Easel

The Mabef easel is very portable, it fits in my art bag perfectly! It's very versatile, I can adjust the height of the bottom ledge easily, and also the angle at which I view my scratch board. I took my time and read the previous reviews before I decided on this model. I'm very happy with this easel!

Perfect! Exactly What I Wanted!

I am getting back into watercolors and illustrations. I don't need a huge drawing table any more. I like the solid wood so I can tape pictures to. The open ones would not be sturdy enough for me. Easily folds up to put away. Smart engineering choices of angles and adjustments. Very very happy!

Lovely Little Easel

This is a perfect little table top easel -- ideal for painting and drawing -- especially for someone who has neck and back problems and can't sit as much as she used to. I've found it also makes a great reading stand and can also be used to hold a pad for writing. It's well made, sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing. I love it.

Love it!

I purchased this for watercolor painting... I usually paint fairly flat. This has opened a new door!!! Wish I would have purchased it years ago! Excellent quality and craftsmanship! Nice size!

Great Table Top Easel

I use this product for drawing with pencils, charcoal, and pastels right on top of my desk. It's solid and durable. It can be completely positioned vertically and also can be folded flat for storage. It's light weight and works great on any level surface. I wanted table top easel that was not cumbersome and overly complicated to manage. This fit the bill exactly.

Great adjustable small table easel

This easel adjusts easily and holds tight. The only one I found that adjusts the height of base that holds the painting. Very sturdy. Perfect or small paintings on a table. I love it!
