Environmental hazard

I bought this desk lamp a few weeks ago - and I just learned that the LED light is NOT replaceable - meaning--- when this product reaches its end of life, it needs to be discarded! This is also stated in the product instructions. How horrible for the environment!!! How can Ott Lite, in good conscience, manufacture disposable products like this? Everyone should watch the Netflix show "Buy Now" it's all about companies like this who are putting profit over manufacturing responsible, environmentally friendly products that are good quality and last. We are creating an environmental nightmare for our children. I will never buy this product again or brand again.

Arrived in beautiful condition. Well put together and sturdy. The light is more than sufficient to work in comfortably. I can feel how much easier it is to work in compared to the fluorescent lights in the office. The three light modes and additional three brightness settings are a very functional feature that I have used frequently already.

Love This Lamp!!!

I love the detail in this lamp. It is not just a source of light it adds character to my office layout. It has three dimming levels, and I use it in lieu of the room light it is much more comfortable. I purchase these pieces at different intervals, but they somehow come together, and I love that!!!

Ott Light

The Ott light is a great lamp, however yoo large for the corner desk I ordered.

I hesitated buying this lamp based on price. However, I went ahead and bought it - and I am glad that I did. It has taken a permanent place in my living room. The light of the lamp is very nice. The lamp adjusts as described. I am very happy with my purchase!

Very attractive desk lamp. It is taller than most desk lamps of this style, which I love. It’s easy to adjust so you can angle the light exactly where you need it. The brass color has a nice matte/antiques finish. Packaged well.

[Rewarded Review] Meh.

I bought this for my home desk but returned it The quality was ok, but there isn't much leeway with adjusting the lamp as with others of this style lamp. The LED light has a strong negative impact on me and makes me feel blinded and anxious. Also, the bulbs are built in and cannot be replaced... they're supposed to last up to 8 years, but sorry, that's just not acceptable in this time of overflowing waste. Ottlites used to be known for their high quality, now, not so much. I bought 3 different ones at the same time to see which style i would like, and returned all 3. Overpriced, cheap quality, environmentally irresponsible. Skip this one.

Throw away item???

Nice looking lamp and lighting is nice. However, the manual indicates that the light source IS NOT replaceable. Once the light source goes, the unit is not useable. Throw it away and purchase another OttLite? I don't think so. Will be returning!

Not well balanced

Restricted adjustments, lamp is not well balanced.

Poorly made, poorly designed, would not buy again.

This is poorly designed. The unit is off-balance even at the highest and most centered position, so the base is not entirely flat on the table and the slightest nudge moves the base. It's designed like a sliding arm but it isn't, and the adjustment mechanism is clunky and the wing nut doesn't always tighten correctly. To top it off, my unit came damaged so the light shade is loose and doesn't hold its position if rotated - it only points down. The damaged piece is not removable so I would have needed to exchange the unit, which is incredibly wasteful. Overall, would highly recommend not to buy this. Questionable if any other OttLite products would be any better.

Perfect loghting solution

Perfect sidechair light for knitting or needle work. Modern design and light intensity selections are added bonus. Very happy with this purchase.

Great desk lamp! Very stylish and the ability to choose hue and brightness is perfect! I prefer the warm light setting.

Bright and sturdy!

This lamp makes a great desk lamp for my office! It's bright enough and sturdy so I don't have to worry about it falling over!
