I would have rated this average, but it is on the good end of average. Mounting is as easy as I was expecting for a clamp-on and because my desk has a 3/4" frame on the underside, I was able to use 3/4x2&1/2x2&1/2" wood pieces to extend the surface area for the clamps to grip onto (the clamp disc edge starts at barely 1/2" back, and is just shy of 2" diameter, so it rests on both the frame and the wood blocks).

Good size. Weak design.

The width of this keyboard tray is exactly what I needed for my large, ergonomic, keyboard and trackball. The clamps aren't intrusive on the desk, which is now open and accessible because my keyboard and trackball are neatly mounted under the desk on this tray. The tray slides completely forward and under the lip of the desk, so it give a nice, neat appearance. The only issue I have is that it is very fragile. The slides are plastic/vinyl and mounted with two flimsy screws. The manufacturer didn't include any extra fasteners, so losing one of these screws is a big problem. The plastic slides are weak and can't take limited pressure. So, don't lean on your keyboard at any time!

Fits the bill

I was not certain this item would fit my needs, but when installed it feels secure, slides easily, and sits about 3in below the bottom of my 1in thick desk (so 4in from the top). this allows the key board to sit at a much more ergonomic height for me. it has a shallow depth so it does not hit the bar 9inches into my standing desk. Highly recommend this product!

Very Bad Product

This keyboard tray is awful. For one, it squeaks a lot and it's very noisy. The sliding action isn't very smooth. But the worst part is that the screws for the slides are constantly coming loose and falling out on their own. I'm having to tighten them at least once a week. Overall, just not a great product and I wouldn't recommend it at all.

It's OK

I recently acquired the Mount-It! Under Desk Keyboard Tray: Clamp-On and found it to be an excellent addition to my workspace. Installation was a breeze thanks to its clamp-on design, and it has effectively freed up valuable desk space. The tray's sturdy construction ensures stability, while its smooth glide enhances comfort during extended use. Overall, I highly recommend this keyboard tray for anyone seeking to optimize their desk setup and improve productivity.

This is GREAT if you suffer from carpal tunnel and your desk is high.

So easy to install. Such a great way to make my keyboard and mouse a lower height for my carpal. Highly recommend; I have a glass-top desk and this worked perfectly. Well worth the $$$.

Broke After 3 Months

I got the product to improve my back pain and it helped significantly, but it's cheaply made and broke within three months. Screws fell out and one of the components bent in a way that my boyfriend and I couldn't fix. This product was highly rated by news sites (how I found it) and expensive so I am disappointed.

More hassle than help

Requires 2 hands to pull out without snagging. (I've tried tightening and loosening all hardware, nothing helps.)

Love this! Really needed to get ergonomic while working from home. I DON'T skimp here because I spend 40+ hours at this desk! Definitely had to put together. Wasn't hard. Took 30ish minutes. Once assembled, took 2 min to add to desk. My desk thickness is exactly 2 inches thick. SO... it slides back nicely with my ergo keyboard. Does not slide shut with mouse, but I expected that. It does want to roll back sometimes while working for longer periods of time. So... I bought a baby lock and set it up right on the mount. Locks and clips on and off with ease! Holds in place while using! The reason I love this, it fit on my desk, it was larger and fit both my mouse and keyboard without being cramped. Very sturdy as well!

Bought it last week, as there was not enough room on my desk with my new big curved screen. I had to write a report, and used this keyboard tray almost nonstop during 4 days. So great. I could put books, calculator, pen, papers etc.. in front of me while i was typing the whole time. It's very sturdy. Only thing is that it doesn't lock when it's fully out, so i sometimes i had to pull it a little. But otherwise everything else is great about this keyboard tray. I'm very happy.

This clamp on desk mount is amazing. Since I'm able to type at an optimal position, I feel as if I get more work done and I'm able to type faster. Also, I love how much desk space this frees up. The only downside I see is that it's a big unit. I have a 48 inch wide desk standing desk and it sits on the desk fairly comfortably, however there's not much wiggle room.

Nice addition to my desk table. Went together easily with instructions. Very sturdy and slides in and out easily. Plenty of room for a keyboard, mouse, and iPhone. Mouse needs to be on the desktop to roll the tray away. That's my only complaint, but no biggie. Standing desktop converter covers the clamps. Matches my whole desk setup nicely and makes the most of my workstation.

Was a bit thrown off when I saw some of the reviews posting broken or hard-to-assemble items. Had no problems with this. Arrived relatively quickly in great shape. No issue with assembly aside from some slightly cryptic install instructions. I will note that this looks eerily similar to the Vivo mounted keyboard solution that this item is oddly compared against, aside from a couple of branding marks. Do with that information what you will. Regardless, had no issues with product quality or use. Sliding tray does take a little force, but I'm hoping that will ease with use. No big deal otherwise.

I agree that this is a very sturdy product - once you get it built, but holy crap good luck. I had to take it apart 3 times to accomplish that. The directions/pictures were not clear, which was the main issue. This would get a full rating if it weren't for that. The only other issue is that pushing the board in and out is more difficult than the video made it appear, but I'm guessing some lubricant/WD40 will likely help with that *fingers crossed*. If you don't mind dinking around with the set up, its likely worth the purchase.

I bought this for my daughter because she was working from home at a kitchen table. She complained about her shoulders always hurting. I told her it was because she was working at the table. She didn't believe me. Ergonomics was something they worried about in the 90s. She set this up and in one day she felt a difference. She loves it.

This is the second clamp-on the keyboard I ordered. The first had to go back because the clamps were not long enough for my desk's edge This one works perfectly. It took my husband a little bit of time to put it together, but he was successful. It is very strong and sturdy. My only slight complaint is it could be a little longer to accommodate my mouse pad and mouse. But that is a minor consideration. I really like this keyboard tray.

Rock solid. The clamps are strong solid metal. Assembly took about 20 min but pretty straight forward. All pieces come in plastic sleeve, separated and easy to identify. Measure your desk, the most that you will get in between the clamps is about 2 and 1/4 inches. My desk just made it. I like the guides in the back to prevent the keyboard from sliding backwards and also give the cords to the USB connections. I have a very thin keypad and mouse, so it fits, but again my desk thickness was at the max.

This is a substantial, heavy weight tray. I replaced an older, lighter weight, tray that had come apart (after several years of steady use. I looked through all of the keyboard sliding trays here, and this was the only one that said it would clamp to desk up to 2 1/2 inches thick. Most say they go to 1 1/2 inches, which is too small for my thick desk. And I did not want another tray that required drilling to mount it. The Mount-it tray is a bit more expensive, but the supports and heavy gauge steel and the tray itself is wood composite. I would recommend you spend a bit more and get this sturdy keyboard tray.

I've been using this keyboard tray for 3 months. It's great quality, very sturdy, and super easy to install on my IKEA desk top. NOTE: the 27" listed in the title is just the tray - it doesn't include the clamps. My issue is that it will slide a few inches into my desk, limiting my mouse space, every time I pull the tray out. There's no adjustments I can do to change it. Because I need ergonomic equipment for arm and elbow pain, this means I subconsciously try to keep the tray out which worsens my pain. (Ideally my arms / wrists are relaxed.) If I wasn't past the return policy I'd return it /: I wish there was a stopper included to hold the tray out. The largest problem that this suffers from is a poor choice of a linear track assembly. This linear track is the thing that makes the keyboard tray move in and out from under your desk. Problem being that you actually need to pull one side with a bunch of force to get it to extend evenly. Well that does not sound bad.... Correct, then when you want to stow this you need to push the other side so the tray is fully stowed. Solution: Grease the mechanism, or use a spare track from an old desk... If you have one :D

This is working out great for my home office. My desk was too tall, so this puts the keyboard at the perfect height. It does not lock into place, but it is difficult to slide and this keeps it in place during use. It is very wide, so it fits my expanded apple keyboard and leaves plenty of room for the mouse. I'm a graphic designer, so having a lot space to mouse around is very important!! It also accommodates thick desktops. Mine is 2.25 inches thick and the clamps fit. Assembly took about 15 minutes.
