sturdy gate

there is one recommendation for the construction of the gate. place a set screw into the frame under the bracket at the top hinge to keep the bracket from sliding down and loosening the cable support. otherwise it's a great product.

not very strong to hold 6 feet boards

Bought a second for our other gate.

Awesome design, I was able to reuse all the fence boards from original 20+ year old gate. The new "guts" of the gate is now plum, solid, and swings with ease. I wasn't able to add my photos via the app.

Hinge Warning

The pintels in my kit were not 90 degrees. Drilling a level hole for them resulted in a pin which is was not vertical so the hinges bind. We drilled slanted holes to insure the pins ended up vertical. Just a cardboard template did the trick. Check your pintels!

CANNOT INSTALL HANDLES OR SPRING

Handles cannot be installed securely (attached to frame). Spring to close the gate cannot be installed.

THE Adjust a Gate medium size kit is durable, weather-resistance and it has a great function for any deck gate. It came with everything that you needed to install the gate . Just have to buy the wood.. it adds charm to a welcoming patio. And a friendly pet keeper outter.outer.. I would recommend this product to anyone

Required a bit of customization to make it work but in the end it worked well.

Not really worth the money

Difficult to put together, and when used for a 6’ gate, it sags and won’t stay true.

Quick installing lightweight gate

Light weight, seems strong. Easy install overall, need to make sure everything is straight and level as you go.

Supplied hinge bolts were not bent 90 degrees causing slight binding, gate does not swing freely. Hinge bolt also twists easily and rotates if the gate is open and someone runs into the edge of the gate. Flush head bolts would allow fence boards to lay flat. Provided carriage bolt heads bulge out to far holding fence boards out of alignment. Following directions with 1 inch offset does not align fence boards with adjacent fence. Really close to very good but needs better hardware. I suspect if you by the hinge pins mounted on the angle bracket it might be better.

The installation was pretty easy. I like that functionality allows for different sizes. It is very durable and seems to be that it will hold up for a long time.

Let me start with the breeze of the install process. You might not even need to read the manual to install it if you have done a few IKEA assembly. The quality is great which could last you for at least 8-10 years in weather with 100+C summer and snowing winter. I would also say the adjustment part is great for people who can adjust the size as per their need.

This is so nice and does the job. Easy open and close. Very sturdy and durable. Install was easy and can take clev rain. Useful all around and for different openings .

Be aware of one thing

The hinges need to be welded in , the bolts do not hold it correctly and either slide up or strip out . You can turn the top one up and wedge it above were the s hook goes and then It’s ok . Please redesign and weld the hinge in .

Works suprisingly well

I bought this to replace an old gate that had fallen apart. The hinge pin in the wall fit this gate perfectly. It is adjustable for the width. It's been in place for a while now and it is holding up very well. Surprisingly sturdy. I would definitely buy this again.

Perfect for us, since we wanted to put up the fence and then use the gate for whatever was left. Good quality and clear instructions. We liked that we could select our own wood to finish off our project.
