Need a strong thin screwdriver to pry open slots

You need a very strong thin-edged screwdriver to pry open all the slots before assembling., This is time-consuming and a little dangerous since if you slip you can gouge your hand pretty badly. However, once assembled, the shelves are very sturdy and attractive.

Not for the novice

The instructions that came with the unit did not fit the model I received. The method of attaching the shelving very difficult and required opening the slots with a screwdriver in order to insert the tabs. The metal is lightweight even though it's called Heavy Duty. Once completed it was a satisfactory shelf.

Would not purchase

Difficult assemble as materials are very thin, can be frustrating. Once assembled we found the unit to be very flimsy and suspect of its ability to hold anything close to the advertised weight

No instructions or screws

This might have been perfect if you had instructions how to put together! No screws, no tool list, no step by step instructions. Going back!

don't make the same mistake as me

Cheap construction...I should have realized when the product was discounted. Spend the extra money to get a quality product. Horrible return policy as well.

Don't bother

The item is rated to hold up to 2000 lbs. but one look and you can see that it would struggle with just 200 lbs. The shelves are only a 1/4 inch thick and are so flimsy that you can bend them into a "U" shape with ease and the frame feels week like aluminum. I wanted this item to hold a fish tank but as soon as I opened the package I could see that it would have been crushed under the weight.

Disappointed

Not as heavy duty as described. Metal is thin and flimsy. Particle board shelves are very thin. They are ok for holding boxes of Christmas decorations in the garage but do not expect they will last very long before the shelves start to sag. Expensive for the poor quality. They were not hard to put together, lets just hope the flimsy metal holds up well.
