We put this lamp behind my chair as I needed a good reading light. It fits the bill for sure.

Love the lamp! It's beautiful, and provides just the light I need for the corner of the couch I use for reading, computer work, etc. -- and is great when I stow that away and we have people over. The switch is an easy foot-operated one. The lamp is heavy, substantial, so it's in no danger of tipping over -- a problem with its predecessor.

Lovely with some additions.

The base is sturdy and the lamp was easy to assemble for two people. Would have been nice to have less open space at the bottom of the shade. It can glare in your eyes at certain angles. Bought an additional dimmer at the hardware store--simple to install and less expensive than the added price for the same model with dimmer included.

Sturdy modern lamp!

Nice design - Poorly Manufactured.

The lamp has a nice modern design but is poorly manufactured. Several areas exhibit rough edges. The threads on the bolt that holds the arm to the vertical support was received cross-threaded and broken.

Larger than I thought

The lamp is fine, but takes up more space than I thought it would. Doesn't work in space but found a new place for it.

This lamp is a very nice looking and of high quality. I wish it were a bit taller so I wouldn't run into it every night I get out of bed, but that is certainly no reason to take any of my rating away :). Very easy to put together!
