Medline? Bah! Humbug!

Turned out that i purchased the wrong type of bench but the seller has ghosted every attempt to contact them and refuse by their silence to take it back. Now I'm out of pocket for this unboxed, unassembled, unused bench as well as the next one I'll have to buy to take the place of this one. Don't buy from Medline.

Slippery when wet

I ended up purchasing blue pads that help with the slippery surfaces. After having a hip surgery that was the last thing I needed was to fall in the tub, and when the chair surface was wet it was very slippery . So I purchased the blue sticky pads to stop that from happening. Big design flaw.

Not hard to put together. very solid. It is wide and so we used it in the shower. Shut off the water and would soap or rinse. As I recovered strength, used it to dry off when out of the shower. Worked very good for us.

Does the job

The suction foot is annoying cuz it makes it hard to move the schist. Some might like that. My butt sticks to the seat. Also the seat makes noise when you get off of it after a shower like idk if air or water is being released from the seat cushion. Idk what will come of that yet. Over all I think it's a good and sturdy chair. I wish there were removable/ replaceable foot options.

removing back and arm rest

I can not press the 2 push buttons simontaneously to remove the arm and back rest to switch sides. Any suggestions

The chair itself is good except it wasn't high enough and I had use 2X4s to get the right height which makes it somewhat dangerous which is what I was trying to avoid.

Beware of the seller - Selling Used Instead of New

Beware of this seller as I received two chairs, both of which appeared to be used and were apparently returned to Amazon because of problems. I did not order from Amazon. I ordered from Walmart.com. I ordered and paid for a NEW item. It arrived in a beat up box with the chair legs hanging out. Please see photos below. I complained and they sent a replacement. It was not only used, it had sticky stuff on it, goodness knows what, and the merch tag was ripped off. The Walmart.com support staff were very helpful.

Transfer bench

Bought for my mother after she broke her pelvis. It was easy to set up. It’s stable and easy for my 86 year old mother to use. We’re happy with this purchase.

measurements were right on for a perfect fit, Mom has success in sliding across it.

Designed for ease in dealing with health issues.

Fairly easy to assemble. Two chair legs go on outside of tub and two with suction cups are inside tub for a secure fit. Inside and outside legs required different lengths for our tub. Very helpful for someone with limited motion. Padded seat is helpful cushioning.

Frustrated with Walmart right now. Chair is too big for my shower and no one is getting back to me to tell me where I can return it. I have left two messages with Walmart.com and have tried taking it to Walmart but they won’t take it back either. Very frustrated.

Medline Padded Transfer Bench with Commode Opening

This is my 3rd transfer bench in 30 plus years and this last one I just received was priced right and works just like the others I have had. If I get another 10 plus years from this one as I did from the previous ones I will consider my investment well worth the expenditure. To top it off the quality seems as good as the others and the speed of shipping was great as I received it in just a couple days. Should I have the need to get another one in the future I will definately use your company again.
