Great Purchase

This is a great lamp for the bedroom that can be attached on any shelf. It produces a great light. I have it facing the wall somewhat and it lights up the whole room.

Exactly the lamp I needed

To label this as an "incandescent" desk lamp gives it an incomplete name. You can use any Type A bulb, whether incandescent, CFL, or LED. I'm using an LED bulb. I did not want a lamp with embedded LEDs because if they stop working, I have to replace the whole lamp instead of just the bulb. To help the clip grip better, it has some padding on it, which also helps it not scratch the object to which you clip it. This lamp is exactly what I was looking to have and I'm glad I found one to buy.

I wanted a light that could be clipped on a shelf in order to light the kitchen sink. This light does the job that I needed. Was very pleased with my purchase.

Great lamp for the cost!

This lamp is just what I needed for my standing desk while working from home. It gives great light and because it clips, does not take up room on my desk. I highly recommend this lamp.

GREAT OVERHEAD LAMP

Love the light. Looks nice and very effective. Great price. Easy ordering and picking up at store. Would order another if I find I need another overhead light.

Unhappy

I'm disappointed. The squeez clip should be reversed. I can not attach it in any way to the head of my bed , nor to the bedside table and still shine it toward me. If you want to use it on a desk, forget it, if attached to front it will shine to the back . If desk has a solid back there is nothing to clip onto.I should have returned it.

Came bent and squashed...

This lamp came bent and squashed. Tried to straighten it out but it cant be fixed. Also, saying it is adjustable is not correct. There is a long metal tube encircling the gooseneck arm that you cannot adjust, with only about 4 inches that you can adjust. It was for my desk in the garage, not here in the house, so Ill still use it out there. Disappointed in the obvious delivery carelessness that squashed it, and the incorrect description saying its adjustable.

Sturdy, Practical Clip Lamp

What you see is what you get - a sturdy, practical clip-on task lamp. I have used it in a poorly lit spot in our basement to thoroughly clean out the litter box. It was clipped to a 2" thick wood shelf and never budged. The arm is firm and flexible. I can't speak to how hot it may run for long durations of use as I have only used it for an hour or so at a time.

Edges of clip are sharp and will likely scratch the surface they're attached to. Sides of lamp were either poorly finished or scuffed when I took them out of the box. Overall cheap feel. Returned it.

Useless

I am so disappointed. The light part of this lamp is fine, however, I can't even open the clip part. What good is this lamp if you can't clamp it on anything. I was going to try and adjust the tension on the clamp but I can't even fine a tool that will turn the "things" that appear to be the things you would turn to adjust it.

Lovely. Cord is long more than enough for most purposes (I used an extension cord for the purpose shown), brushed nickel look works with homey or professional setting without looking too 'industrial', and the clip with the rubber guards holds them securely in place.

DO NOT BUY!!!!

The lamp worked fine for about two hours, then sparks shot out of the socket and the plastic switch not only melted, but fused to the metal shade. Sturdy design at first glance but the wiring was a serious fire hazard. Stay far away from this product at all costs.

Product was purchased to be clipped to the bookshelf on my desk to illuminate the work surface. It could not adjust to provide that illumination. The rigid base of the gooseneck directed light into the bookshelf, whether the lamp was clipped to a shelf or to the side of the bookcase.

Junk

Piece of garbage. I had to replace the same clip on lamp I purchased apx 4 yrs ago from Walmart. Wow has it changed.. not for the better... 40 watt light bulb ( appliance brand) made this lamp so hot I thought it was going to melt. now I use a candelabra bulb I can barely see anything on my desk. Dependable gooseneck used to stay where you put it now it's very floppy and barely holds the lamp up. The wire that is attached to the switch is so thin .That was partly the reason why I use a candelabra bulb. The old one had a very good piece of wire in this same area. The lamp also feels like lightweight plastic to me even though it sounds like some type of metal. The switch to turn off the lamp has no ribbing on the knob to turn It's kind of hard. The older lamp was definitely a much better deal. The clip holds just as well. If you like to see what you are doing at your desk I would suggest purchasing another kind of lamp. I'm pretty disappointed in this replacement.

Got off to a rough start!

Got off to a rough start! The clamp lamp took a while to ship and when it finally arrived the inner socket was extremely loose and there were dried liquid stains around the 2 screws on the clamp section that did not come off with cleaning. So, I got a pair of needle nose pliers and tightened the socket. Otherwise, it's ok. It does what I bought it to do.

Good light. Well made. It doesn't bend much. I clip it on my headboard to read in bed, but it bends so little, where I clip it on, and it's not being used, the only way to bend it is down towards my head. I sleep with it in my face. Lol. Otherwise, it's a great lamp and will more than likely outlast all the others I have ever owned. Maybe it's my headboard. If you are burning this for a desk, it would probably be great.

Quality product.

Just as described. Goose neck is more flexible than I expected, per description. The clamp has nice plastic on it, so it won't scratch whatever you clamp it to. The clamp is sturdy, should stay put.

It worked nice for what I needed it for. Seemed well made for the price point it is. I clipped it onto the rung of a ladder next to a sectional to use as a reading light. (There wasn't enough room for an end table with a lamp and I liked that this was different than just having a floor lamp there for a reading light. And a lot less $ too.

I'm very disappointed in this product. The neck does not stay bent at all. It returns to it's original position no matter how you try to bend it. I've had cheap *** lights that had stiffer necks than this. It's not worth it to return even tho it was definitely overpriced. I preferred it for it's color since at Walmart they're usually plastic and come in those loud solid colors I don't want. I've just had to get creative on finding the right placement. I don't recommend this product.
