They sent me MDF panels - which is deceiving since the description says it’s wood panel

I bought 22 slats of the 2” x 3/8” x 94” traditional wood slats to create an attractive privacy divider for our bedroom entrance. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wood and the consistency and precision of the cut pieces. It required some nominal skill to install, where I used a mitre saw to cut to length, sanded and stained, and fastened to the back of two bookcases using a cordless electric brad nailer. Even all-in with the equipment, it was still far more economical than kits available on Amazon, and the end result was more attractive and customized to my specifications. I’m far from a master carpenter, so if you have a modicum of confidence with tools, you can do this too.

Got the wrong size, definitely not the 3inch ordered. Small 2 inch slats.

Very happy with these! I did stain them as they were a lighter walnut then i was hoping for but they didn't require any prep. They're nice and lightweight but look very high end once installed. Given the maximum length, I went for a design to fill my 12' ceilings. Everything arrived quickly and without any damage.

A lot of hand work in sanding the very splintered back edges of the slats but the cuts were true and material finish is good. End product was very satisfying and mama is very happy with what was essentially a wall treatment headboard in our main bedroom. 👍

Stunning Hickory Slats with a Few Tips for Installation

I am extremely pleased with the wood slats I purchased from Ethan's Walls! I ordered hickory and treated the front with a clear paste wax for a smooth finish, making them easier to dust in the future. I chose the 1-inch width and hung them approximately 3/4 inch apart. I started by placing one slat at the center of the wall and worked my way outwards one side at a time (occasionally making sure they are level). I used adhesive first (wood panel liquid nail) to attach the slats, and once they were secured, I used a nail gun for permanent fixation. My only suggestion would be to remove the rear veneer, as it was full of splinters, requiring a lot of sanding on my part. In some areas, the rear veneer simply peeled off.

Pretty good product for the price, not for everyon

Product arrived quickly. The slats looked nice, but were pretty dirty and had rough edges. We were able to sand down the edges, but in cases cases we needed to recut the end. The biggest issue was actually that we ordered 2" slats and these were 1.8" wide. That's differences became significant over a full wall.

I love this product! After installing a new kitchen, I wanted to add something to the walls that was different. This was perfect! It matched my cupboards and was easy to install. Highly recommend.

The slats are really flimsy. Ordered “walnut” but the manufacturer has a very odd idea of what that means. It looks like they didn’t even bother to stain the wood. You can return it. If your the mood to stain it yourself go for it otherwise stay away!

Great quality and the wall looks excellent

This was a two weekend project. One weekend to stain and clear the slats. One weekend to cut the slats and attach them to the wall. We used construction adhesive and brads for a strong attachment.

Great finish. Easily stained if needed. Very light weight. Installed mine with double sided heavy duty tape and haven’t had any issues.

Nice quality product

I bought this to wainscot our bedroom. The wood veneer was very good quality and suitable for stain and finish, although we painted ours.
