Love these!

This is the fourth bounty I have purchased, so you know it has to be good. I am completely unskilled as a gardener but these units are basically foolproof. I am growing lettuce, cherry, tomatoes, jalapeños, and just started cucumbers. Right in my kitchen, with no bugs, no dirt, no kneeling.

A fun hobby adventure, growing all kinds of things

I have many aerogardens, this one is the largest, I love it! The only complaint is the light does not adjust easily and seems to slip down at times when disturbed, where other planters by aerogarden have a latching ability to set the height. I have like this one due to capacity and you can grow seeds of any kind, fun hobby.

Wonderful product

I had an AeroGarden years ago, it worked well , however, I did not have the time to use the herbs that grew. Now that I’m retired I have 4 units. I sequentially plant Romain lettuce. I never run out of salad fixings, I love the LED grow lights, and have been extremely satisfied with the results. I have started dill, peppers, Turks caps, and standing cypress-all successfully transplanted outside. It’s bc a great product!

Light hood too high for seedlings

I bought the seed starting system and found out you cant get the lights low enough to prevent leggy seedlings.

Bounty Basic aero garden

I bought the bounty basic a few weeks after Christmas. I have found it easy to assemble, clean. I am very happy with my purchase. I got the cascading petunias as the seed kit. I have beautiful flowers in my kitchen. It brightens up the room. I am going to order another bounty basic. The instructions ard very clear in how to use this aero garden. I give this product a 5 star rating!

Good basic unit

I've used this garden for over two years and I really love it. I've grown tomatoes, eggplants and herbs successfully in this garden. It is easy to use, works consistently and doesn't give me any trouble. The tank is large, but many of the plants drink a lot of water so I usually top off the water every few days. The one improvement I would make is to give it a battery backup so that I don't have to reset the clock each time the electricity goes out. I would also appreciate it if Aerogarden would sell replacement parts for this unit. The Bounty replacement hood in the accessories page does not fit the Bounty Basic. (On a side note, over the years, a few of the pods did not sprout and Aerogarden consistently replaced them. You can fill a form out under "Help"/"Contact Us" to get replacements.)

don't expect them to honor their guarantee...

The claim that they replace any pods is not really valid. You cannot reach them either. I have had as many as 30% of the pods not germinate (one herb kit came with 2 Genovese basils, one sprouted one did not) 6 of the 9 pods sprouted - so I am not doing anything "wrong" but they have no way to contact except maybe leave a review - the model number they demand (it won't let you move forward without it) isNOT what is on my info - so I am stuck with 30% fail rate. not really pleased with that given their guarantee is ON EVERY PAGE. but when you need it: crickets.

Great Product - Easy to Use

We’ve had this for two years. It has been great. It’s great having fresh herbs. This garden works great. It has produced so much that we give fresh herbs to friends. This machine is easy to assemble and easy to clean. Seriously, it’s near plug and play, and the programming makes managing the garden really easy.

Great Balls of Fiber!!

I have always wanted to grow herbs all year round and had some success but only with a few. Aerogarden offered the ability to grow all sorts of lettuces and vegetables as well as herbs.

Doesn't work/no response

I bought this a year ago. I had multiple issues with this product. It sparked when I plugged in the adapter. The water level monitor quite working and showed half full no matter what the water level. Then it quite working completely. I contacted customer service several weeks and provided requested information and have not gotten a response. I contacted them a second time over a week ago and still no response. I do not recommend buying this product. I have bought 5 other gardens and have not had any issues with any of the other products.

Stopped working

I bought a bounty basic aerogarden and after only a couple years it had already stopped working. I've bought a total of eight aerogardens over the past 6 years or so and used to be very enthusiastic about my gardens but am just sick of the hassles with them. I've come to the conclusion that their quality is just not worth the money you spend for them, especially the more bigger, more expensive models like the bounty. Something you spend that much money on should last more than 2 years. I'm done. You can build your own hydroponic garden for the fraction of the price you pay for these things, so in the future, that's what I'll be doing if I decide to continue with hydroponic gardening.

The Perfect Garden

I highly recommend The Aerogarden Bounty Basic because it’s so versatile and easy to maintain. It still has all the features you need even without the fancy app. So far I’ve grown a variety of lettuces with excellent results. The machine was easy to set up and clean up in order to start a new garden. The plants grow amazingly healthy and fast- plus, the design of the Bounty Basic with its fully smooth seamless top grow tray leaves no room for algae growth on deck unlike several of the Harvest Garden models that are light in color with open seams running the perimeter of the top grow tray. My second grow has 2 Aerogarden tomato plants which will be well supported with the durable trellis that’s included. I can’t wait to try the seed starter tray - hydroponic growing is so much cleaner than soil. No doubt- 5/5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Minimalist Solution for Fresh Herbs

The unit is pretty great so far. Had it about 1-2 months. No complaints. That light is pretty bright so pick a spot that’s out of the way or that you can cover if it bothers you. I sometimes use it as a night light and don’t turn on any other light. It waters fairly frequently so, again, put it out of the way. The thyme was infected upon receipt. Genovese basil was doubled up for some reason. And the mint is a weird varietal that isn’t going great and isn’t like traditional mint. I think I’m going to try the blank pods and sprout seeds from elsewhere. 5 stars for the unit, -1 for the sloppy packaging of seeds and the above mentioned seed issues. Would buy again assuming the unit holds up more than a couple of years.

So Many Defective Gardens!

I am amazed that there are so many positive reviews on this product. I received my AeroGarden about a month ago, and it worked for ONE DAY before it started sparking and lost power. I reached out to customer service, and they were kind enough to send a replacement base. I set it up, and it worked, once again, for ONE DAY. I complained to customer service, and they asked that I pay to ship the product back, which FedEx estimated would cost about $30. For a defective product? No thank you. I followed up and requested a shipping label, which they provided, along with a new garden. I just plugged that garden in, and after THIRTY MINUTES, it has lost power and is non-responsive.

So good, even my cat recommends them.

I love this product! I have grown all sorts of interesting plants in my 3 Bounty Basic Aerogardens. I have critters that liked to eat my delicate veggies that were growing outside. My brother recommended the Aerogarden system to me, as he has used them for years So, I tried growing plants in my Aerogarden. I have grown all sorts of lettuce, greens, and now micro Tom tomatoes. I started with the preplanted Aerogarden sponges with lettuce varieties, and now plant a variety of greens in the sponges where you plant your own seeds. I highly recommend these planting systems. One of my cats does, too, so I got him a smaller garden so he won’t eat my greens. His favorite is Japanese Mizuna, but he also likes Bright Lights Swiss Chard, too.

Pretty good; plants too crowded

We generally like our aerogarden! My son is so excited to check the progress of the plants, sometimes multiple times a day.

space-aged beauty

I love having this garden, especially during the pandemic. I couldn't decide between herbs and lettuces, so I got the herbs with the garden set and bought a 2d set of lettuce starters simultaneously. The growing needs are similar, so after 5 weeks my mix-and-match experiment seems to be working well. While aerogarden is all about the plant, I also love how it looks--very sleek and space-aged. It actually makes for a lovely home accent. Surprised how bright the light is, and it needs to stay on 15 hours a day so you can't have it near where anyone will be sleeping. The only problem I've had is I accidentally reset the garden somehow, so the number of days displayed--and hence the alerts when you need to add plant food--are off. It would be an improvement to make that easy to reset. I also wish they would tell you *before* you buy the garden that they recommend pumping out the water every 28 days, which makes sense. If I had known in advance I wouldn't have had to place a second order for the pump, which is inexpensive and worked well.

Fun and cheer growing in our home!

I have had my Bounty Basic since January 8, 2020. I planted it with four seed pods from Aerogarden: 2 Kale Mix pods, and 2 Heirloom Cherry Tomato pods. We three in our family (two 66-yr-olds, and a 92-yr-old mother!) have enjoyed adding a good bit of kale to our salads, and also have cooked some. As of today (3.31.2020) I count at least 36 green cherry tomatoes on the two plants, from pin-head size to the size of shooter marbles. To this point, a tomato plant on each end, and the two kale mix plants at the rear, are growing well together, though perhaps the tomatoes will ultimately crowd out the kale plants.

[Rewarded Review] This is so impressive

I love gardening and having fresh herbs to use in cooking! The AeroGarden is so easy to use, is so genius, and really just so fun! It's sturdy and well constructed, simple for anyone to use, really just add water, plug in and follow the directions as they appear on the screen! When you're ready for a new garden, just start that dialogue over again on the screen. It has a beautiful light system that is impressive and bright! It even includes a tier system if you need! The entire unit comes more or less assembled you simply attach a post and the light, it’s shipped in a nice larger carton, all parts protected in plastic and nested in cardboard inserts.
