Second attempt at a new drain and it still leaks

I am completely disappointed with this drain. The first one I bought was leaking where the brass tube meets up with the thread; i used plumbers tape and it did not fix the problem; returned for a replacement. As these drains are not usually available in store had to wait a week for the new drain to arrive. The second drain leaks in a different spot, this time where the threads meet up with the gasket/nut; I've again done everything possible to fix it. Beware of this drain.

Larger, more efficient drain

This piece was the perfect complement to the hammered copper sink that I also purchased on Overstock. It is large, and works very well.
