I can see why everyone is giving it a bad rating. The assembly was atrocious. Took us almost 8 hours to assemble, put up and setup. I would have an expert come out and do it because the instructions were terrible. Also the QR video was bad, found a better one. Electric motor was separate and didn’t come with instructions either.

Great product for the price! Make sure you have help mounting it

Motor shorted in less than 2 years

I bought this 4/2022 and used it maybe 5 times in 2023 and 5 times in summer 2023. I attempted to use it in spring of 2024 and it kept triggering the GFI to shut off the outlet (tried different outlets to confirm it wasn’t the outlet). Warranty is only for a year. Paid $369. So cost about $185 per year. Not worth it to me.

Before purchasing the awning I read the reviews and saw the biggest complaint was with the instructions. I looked at the instructions and watched the videos before installing, and it didn't look as if it would be difficult. I can say the instructions and videos dont cover every step, but if you have some mechanical knowledge and ability, and can see how things are supposed to work, you should be fine. We bought the motor and didn't see anything that said if using a motor, to remove the manual crank end of the awning. You will want to do this and install the motor on that end. All in all, happy with the product and glad we bought it.

The directions are really bad very hard. How to figure out how to put it together. There's no good video either. They should come out with a step-by-step video. Also, we are missing a very important part the roller ball cradle, and I'm having a hard time getting a hold of them to have just that part sent without. It is very heavy on the bar and dragging other than that the shade is great. Also, they could really use an extra arm in the middle. The three arms are a little sketchy on sufficiency holding it up in place, it's a little and water can collect which adds more weight if they just added another bar the water would drain off the top as the material would stay snug also there was many dents in the parts when we received it

Directions were somewhat hard to follow requiring extra time in assembly. However, the product is of superior materials and seems to be of the quality advertized. Here's hoping that it lasts for years to come. Have to say it is amazing for the price.

The awning is very good quality and the frame is sturdy. My only complaint is the instructions were a bit vague. Some parts were not explained as to what their purpose is. Also, the instructions were apparently written for any size awning, regardless of width.

Arrived all beat up, i mean beat! I straitend it up and got it together but limiter switch doesnt work!
