This item looks lovely in the pics however does have enough weighted at base do you can spin a roll of paper towels with one hand. Also looks better with shorter roll of paper towels.

apparently paper towel is shorter in Denmark as the top part of the holder was flush with the top of the paper towel, thus being unusable so I am returning this

This is a gorgeous paper towel holder. However, it is not functional as the paper towels do not spin when you go to tear off a piece. You need to use two hands to get a piece of paper towel. From reading other reviews (which I wish I had done prior to purchashing) it seems this product was not designed for American paper towels. If you want a functional paper towel holder, do not buy this. If you want one for aesthetics - this is the one for you.

Being magnetic makes it easy to attach paper roll. A very practical and extremely stylish addition to my kitchen bench!
