Total Crap!

These cheap, plastic containers are so poorly conceived and manufactured as to be almost useless. They have no system to use the water in the container to water the plants once the water drops down about 3". I made wicks out of 3/8" nylon rope to provide continuous watering - it's amazing that they call these self-watering and that a company as good as Target sells them!

Great Planters!

I got the tall planters and unplugged the center, loads of room for my elephant ears, vinca, and trailing annuals. I love the self watering option WITH the side overflow to let you know the reservoir is full. Hope they come back in stock soon!

This item deserves NEGATIVE stars. It is horribly designed. This is a hollow plastic pot, it's cheap and tacky looking and it looks like it belongs in a Flintstone's cartoon. I use plastic pots, but this thing screams plastic and is UGLY! I was hoping for a rough, natural stone look and that is not what this is! As a tall planter, it is virtually worthless. The planter is tall, but the planting area inside is about half of what you would find in a normal 20" pot. I needed and wanted depth -- at least like a normal pot but ideally with more depth. This doesn't cut it! If you want a tall, rustic pot, keep shopping. This thing is awful.

Pot to make life easier

Bought two because I needed something nice for the front of the house and I do not have the time to babysit plants. These are brownish plastic with a brushed finish to resemble terra cotta. Nice size, not too small and not HUGE. Light until you fill the top section with dirt and plants ... heavier when water is added to the bottom reserve. My plants are doing great and planters have not moved an inch during high winds ... and they look very nice. I no longer worry if I cannot get out to water the planters.
