Amazing investment

I was tired of replacing non-stick every few years, so I decided to go all in on one final set. After looking at many different manufacturers and sets, I concluded that All-Clad was the way to go. They have a great reputation, are well reviewed, and stand behind their product. While the set was quite pricey, I was not disappointed.

Best decision I've made as far as cookware!

After a lot of personal searching, reviewing, and comparing, I decided to purchase this set as my stainless steel cookware. I have been wanting to switch to stainless cookware for awhile since I cook alot at home and I only have non-stick cookware. Let me tell you, you got to understand there is a learning curve to cooking with stainless. I thought I was being careful, but I pulled a rookie move and smoked up the whole house because the pan was too hot when I added oil and ofcourse it stuck. Just use some Bar Keeper's Friend when you wash the pan and it cleans up just fine. I chose the stainless D5 for the durability and the ability to retain heat. It also heats up 100x faster than my nonstick and the size of the cookware is very nice also. It feels like I am not crowding anything when Im cookkng. I also appreciate the fact that the stainless set is manufactured in the United States. The cons are pretty obvious. Having to clean them and also the price. If you take care of them, they will take care of you and should last a lifetime, so that's why the price and maintenence didn't bother me.

DO NOT BUY-- So disappointed in Williams Sonoma

I love to cook and wanted to treat my self to a truly superior set of cookware. I did my research, I talked at length with the staff at Williams Sonoma and settled on this set. I couldn't wait to use them. It took me 6 weeks to realize that these were the WORST PANS EVER! Absolutely EVERYTHING STICKS to them--it doesn't matter how much oil you use. It doesn't matter what you cook--it sticks and burns. I tried everything they told me--lower the heat--warm the pan--use cool or room temperature oil--NOTHING WORKED. By the time I realized how truly bad this cookware was Williams Sonoma would not let me return or exchange them because it was past their 30 day policy. I really wanted to exchange them for the non-stick All Clad but they wouldn't let me do that either. They told me to call the manufacturer. All-Clad won't take them back or exchange them either and could not believe that Williams Sonoma sent me to them. They did offer to have a quality assurance person evaluate them but I had to send them all back and it would take up to 4 weeks. DON'T BUY All-Clad Cookware AND DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE WILLIAMS SONOMA BRAND. I specifically asked them about whether food would stick to these pans, they assured me that if I followed the instructions that I would be in love with these pans. Williams Sonoma does not stand behind their claims.
