[Rewarded Review] Great for a hurricane kit, power outages, grocery pick ups and picnics

We are using this 12V portable refrigerator for our hurricane readiness kit. Texas has been hit by bad storms a few times recently and we had to come up with some ideas to be ready for the next one. During the most recent one, we had power outages for a few days, and some places didn’t have it for weeks! As I write this, there is actually a hurricane approaching from the gulf, so we have this one plugged in and ready to go. In case power goes out, we will move the meat from the fridge into this cooler and keep it plugged to a power inverter. I bought a power inverter that produces 300W using 18V batteries and this cooler uses 45W in Eco mode and 60W in max mode for quick cooling. In ECO mode a 6.0ah battery lasted more than 6 hours, so I switched the batteries to keep it cool. We are quite happy with how it works so far. It takes about an hour to reach 38F in the main section and 15F in the freezer section. There is also an option to use both sections as a regular fridge or freezer. Other than hurricanes, we are also using it for grocery pick ups especially when we are getting meat. We keep it plugged for an hour in advance and then wheel it to the car to plug into the lighter socket. It is lightweight and the wheels and handles are easy to use. It is also great for camping and picnics given how long they can stay cool. I compared the temperature measurements on the display and my own measurement with another device and it was quite accurate. It works with an app and the pairing process is straightforward. If the Alpicool app can’t connect to the fridge, you need to press the set button on the fridge after clicking on the app. It runs very quietly and also has a battery protection feature in case your car battery goes low. Overall, we are feeling more prepared for a power outage having this and hope to use it for other occasions as well.

[Rewarded Review] Great cooler for picnics, camping or outdoors

I like this cooler. I've never had a refrigerated cooler before receiving this one. So, this is my first experience with one. I like that it's relatively quiet although it does make a low hum when it's running and makes a bit of a "chonk" when the motor starts and stops. It does get cold and stay cold once it's running. That said, it took a bit of reading of the manual to figure out how to set the controls. It has dual zones which can have somewhat different temps. I also like that this has a handle and wheels as it is a bit heavy. Within the inside of the lid, there's a cutting board that can be detached and used. The outside of the lid also has measuring marks for measuring fish. The cooler comes with three different wires for connecting to a standard wall outlet or your car. There is even a battery saver mode to protect your car battery from getting too low.

[Rewarded Review] Alpicool ZGW41 42QT Portable Refrigerator

It is easy to mistake this for a cooler until you open it up. A good portion is used up by the refrigeration unit, but at least there is a spot above it to put a few things. This is pretty awesome, honestly. No ice needed, so that kin of makes up for the loss of space. It cools down pretty fast and isn't loud. It comes with both a plug for the car and for the house so it can basically go anywhere you go. The handle on one side extends so you can pull it around to wherever you need or if you leave it in, you can lug it with the handles like a conventional cooler, but its got some weight to it and would recommend wheeling it. The lid can be flipped around if you need it opened differently to suit your needs and there is even a little removable cutting board attached to it. All in all, if you are tired of wasting you money on ice and want a versatile, rugged, high quality portable refrigerator Alpicool has just the thing for you.

[Rewarded Review] Wow. Just WOW!

Well the first thing I'm going to say is this is quite the attractive cooler. The green color is great and it looks nice and slick. One of the features that I was surprised to see is the lid has measurements on top of it in both metric and SAE going from, in the case of SAE, 0 to 18 in. I imagine if you're using this cooler when fishing that's a nice convenience for being able to tell how big the fish are that you caught. The extendable handle has some locks on it to prevent accidentally extending the handle when you don't want it to. And it locks in the extended position. The initial temperature on the display was 67° for the refrigerator and 68° for the freezer. After 15 minutes the temperature readouts were 39° for the refrigerator section and 16° for the freezer section. For reference I had set the refrigerator section at 34°. Switching modes between fridge and freezer is a bit tricky and may get some getting used to. As an added feature there is a light in the refrigerated section. Overall, I'm going to say this is quite the portable refrigerator. The features are great, it's easy to use, and easy to transport. I would highly recommend it.

[Rewarded Review] Absolutely love it, but it has some quirks

I absolutely love this 42 qt. 12v Portable Dual Zone Electric Cooler with Wheels and Retractable Handle from Alpicool. The dual zone ability is great, especially when we're bringing food back home from our vacation trips, we always have food that needs to be frozen and refrigerated. You are able to make both zones frozen or refrigerated, or one of each. The 42 qt is not a huge compartment size, but it is adequate for what I need. However, because of the compressor installed, the body is pretty bulky and it has a good amount of weight to it even when empty. The retractable handle is nice, but I wish it had a bend in it to make it a bit easier to pull around. The wheels are a good size but the body still gets a bit hung up and beat up on unlevel ground. One of my favorite features of the cooler is the reversible lid with cutting board, but it's almost too easy to switch it from one side to the other. My kids are able to lift up on it and break it free, where I wish it would've had a latch or lever to release it rather than just opening it and pulling up on the lid. The ability to cool down or freeze is very impressive. I got it all the way to -3 degrees on freeze and probably could've gotten it down to the -4 degrees stated had I waited a little bit longer. I was a little concerned at first because I set one side to 0 degrees and the other side to 40 degrees and the 40 degree side almost got down to temp before the freezer side even started to come down. They had both started at 76 degrees. After that first start, they came down in temp together more consistently. However, there's quite a bit of tolerance in the compartment temp that may or may not affect your food. The freezer side was set to zero degrees and it got down to -3 degrees and went up to about 7 degrees before it started cooling again. I had the cooler side set to 40 degrees and it got down to 37 degrees and up to about 48 degrees before it started cooling again. So, I set it to approx. 4 degrees cooler than I need it and let it fluctuate. It gets down to temp super quick. It went from 76 degrees to zero degrees in about 18 minutes. The touchscreen is a bit a pain to understand and get the hang of, however, the app is way more easier to use and gives you more information like power usage, etc. This unit also runs on either AC or 12v with the two provided cords. Altogether I really like it, and it fits underneath my tonneau cover on my truck.
