Perfect for our play and building experiences!
This has been my go-to clay for 10+ years. Amaco is consistent with the quality of this clay and this is ideal for PreK 3s through 1st grade to just play and explore, build and rebuild with. I don't have access to a kiln so I can't report on how it fires, but for everything else that is process-oriented, this is the only clay I choose and recommend.
Have used many times! Great clay for children to work with
We use the Amaco No. 25 at our student ceramics classes. It is proven to be easy to work with and also fired well in the kiln.
I will buy this clay again
I love to work with this clay it is easy to form and it holds well
Good brand
Good brand. Quality clay. Free shipping!
Worth it.
Making tile murals with it. Minimal warping. Nice clay.
Nice clay
I've gone through 25 pounds so far, and I'm really happy with the clay. It's very plastic, perfectly moist and smooth.
Perfect clay!
Great for every level student from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Fires white and light in weight.
Easy to work with
Easy to get fine details, press mold, and fire. Does not shrink too significantly, like most earthenware clay. Takes glaze well. I would recommend it, although shipping is expensive.
I will buy this clay again
I throw pottery and this is a perfect clay. It is elastic and smooth and holds the walls as I'm bringing it up. It's my favorite clay right now.
Unusable
It's sopping wet. Absolutely loaded with air bubbles and so wet it sticks to everything. The bag. Your hands. The wedging table. Never again. I should have read the reviews.
I buy this clay every year
I use this clay in my elementary art classroom all the time, I'm very happy with it.
Dependable quality and delivery
I can always count on the quality of this product and the speed with which Blick can get it into the hands of my students. After two years of delayed and cancelled orders from another bid contract- BLICK to the rescue with our clay order.
I am satisfied
Clay is nice and soft
Amaco clay is the best!
Love this clay!
I will definitely purchase from Blick again.
I purchased clay for my art classes. The clay was fresh and not hard. Dick Blick was able to deliver in a timely manner. I like the fact that they emailed me to let me know my shipment was on the way.
Great clay
I have an after school art program kIndergarten thru fifth grades. This clay is soft enough for little hands to manipulate and form their pieces. Wish it was more available in the store nearest me (San Diego) as I pay over $30 to have it delivered!
I always buy this for my classroom.
This is great flexibility for classroom use.
I will definitely be buying more.
Oh my God! The smoothest I've experienced. Easy to manage.
I buy this clay over and over again.
This is the only clay I work with in my studio. My private classes given at my studio use this as well. Best workable clay I have used.
Cracks upon 2nd firing.
I used this product with over 400 students this school year. Upon bisque firing at cone 04, we had no issues or breakage. After glaze layer applied with Blick glaze, approx 1/4th of all projects cracked massively or ended up cracking into 2 pieces in the kiln. These were glaze fired at cone 05. All processes were EXACTLY like I have done with other clays. I purchased this clay because Versa Clay was not available. I will never purchase this clay again.
