Why were the bags not sealed?

My clay arrived but I did not have a chance to open the box until now. It was a good thing I did as the bags of clay I ordered (50lbs worth) were NOT sealed. I added water and tied them up securely but.... what the heck Blick?

I trust this product for my students.

This is a high quality product. My only suggestion is that it should be better wrapped for transit.

I have ordered clay from Wal Mart for over 3 years with most of it coming from school specialty, but this stuff was really bad. must have been frozen at some point. Very disappointed.

Great clay! Handles well on the wheel. Similar to B-mix, but a bit lighter in color and arrives a little wet.

A wet, sticky, fluffy mess

The clay, out of the bag is too sticky too wedge and has so much air in it, it seems fluffy. I can't see using it for at least six months unless I put it on a slab to dry. Not sure if waste time buying it again.

Lightweight with great features

Smooth texture which is perfect for sculpting to thrown pieces. I am sculpting a human head and the body of the clay is viscous and firm for this kind of work.
