Received one of these chairs broken in the box. The back is broken from the chair bottom. We are building a new house and was not ready for the chairs until now. I need to return it and order 4 more of the chairs.

Goes perfect at my desk!

I ordered 10 chairs and everyone had finishing defects. The paint was sprayed on and had a dusty rough matte finish with lots of lumps and bumps. On several chairs the paint was flaking. On most of the chairs the wood was rough, heavily grained and in those areas did not have a full covering of paint. One chair had a cracked spindle that was painted over. The unfinished wood product needed to be fully sanded and prepped which it wasn't. The paint product was poor and needed to have an acceptable top coat applied so it appeared as in the picture. I asked for a full refund due to defect and the seller Hedge Apple refused because I didn't have the original boxes. The seller offered a 20% refund on a $2750 order. I then went to HOUZZ for a refund and was offered a store credit for the full amount if I donated the chairs to an acceptable charity and produced the receipt. I refused and asked for a full refund to my card. I was prepared to go to my bank and have fraud charges filed for the return of the full amount. HOUZZ did finally agree to a full refund. I had a packing person come to pack the chairs. HOUZZ covered the cost of the return shipping.. I worked with two customer service assistants who handle returns and they were very understanding and very helpful in resolving this problem. My advice is to keep your boxes until you are certain you are keeping the item(s) when shopping with HOUZZ. A hard lesson learned.

Packed very well to avoid damage. The color of chair matched the photo that was shown in the advertisement. You will definitely want to buy a cushion for the chair.

Great!

Ordered these with a walnut colored table format new dining room. The chairs are on the small side but are comfortable for everyone. The black finish doesn't look like the thick veneer that will scratch up easily. The chairs were pre ensembled and look fantastic.

Very pleased with this chair

I was pleased at the packing quality and overall look of the chair. Completely met my expectations for a solid, simple chair at a good value.

Small in Stature

The chair is beautifully finished and the feels sturdy. However, we aren't large people. These chairs are very narrow and light weight. I hesitate on the normal American sitting comfortably.
