This is a very nice-looking desk, there are issues

The desk is very nice. It's a good size and looks nice. I like the extra space between the top of the desk and the shelf - it's very convenient. The drawers are sturdy and move in and out well. There are two issues that prevent this review from 5 stars: The handles on the drawers are sharp and catch very easily on clothing. The 2nd is that when attaching the file drawers to the desk top when putting it together, the drawer area slipped, and a dowel went right through the top of the desk, causing a hole, and the veneer is peeling away from the hole. The action that caused the hole is entirely user error, however, if the desk had been constructed of firmer materials the hole wouldn't be there, and the veneer wouldn't be peeling away from the pressboard. Be careful when putting this together.
