Loaf dish
Useful, everyday use. Good quality. Very versatile.
A disastrous attempt at a loaf of bread
I bought the loaf pan (made of special glass) in order to bake bread, after some bad batches with aluminum loaf pans. The result was a disaster. The bottom of the loaf stuck to the bottom, as did parts of the sides and ends, despite the fact that I had oiled the pan as instructed. So a disaster from beginning to end. I returned the pan, fortunately for a full refund.
Excellent product
I don't bake with this oven loaf pan (although you certainly could), instead I use it to store (in the refrigerator) things like cooked pseudo grain, or cooked lentils. I cook the pseudo grain, and lentils in a pressure cooker so I don't often use the oven. I have been completely satisfied with the oven loaf pan. It is solid, washes up easily, and doesn't scratch or deteriorate with normal use. It should last for many, many years. To top it all off, the price is excellent.
Great meatloaf pan
I am a single guy not very familiar with pots and pans. I went to Canadian Tire to buy a meatloaf pan and a store clerk was stocking shelves. She steered me away from the metal and to this glass pan instead explaining that it would both cook meatloaf better and be an easier clean up. She was right. Meatloaf turned out amazing in this and it cleaned up easy. The only other time I cooked meatloaf, I had to throw the metal pan away.
