Lovely, quirky and useful

I absolutely love this cake stand. It's not huge, but a nice size when open, perfect for small dainties and it looks great when closed, really fun and quirky. It's easy to open, close and fix in position. The stainless steel mirror finish is good quality as you would expect from Alessi. All in all, a five star product.

Unique, beautiful and easy to store

I bought this because I needed a cupcake stand for a party, and I don't have a lot of space for storage. It folds up very compact so you can put it away, or you can leave it out as a decorative piece (although my husband doesn't much care for its little face). It folds open to a beautiful and unique stand that can be used for little desserts, fruits, etc. It is not terribly large, so if you need something to hold large quantities of food for a big event, it might not be for you. But for normal size dinner parties, it is perfect!
