The fiberglass insulation that goes on the top of this fixture was terrible - tiny shards of it went everywhere and made me itchy for the rest of the day. The part of the light that is behind the bulbs was just the brass color so it was clearly visible behind the bulbs and it looked weird so we painted it white.
