Love This Matching File Cabinet

My husband took over my old desk, but I'd been keeping our joint files in the old cabinet, so had to get a new one for myself. This is a perfect accompaniment to my L-shaped desk. Virtually the same height as the desk with plenty of room for the printer. This is helpful. Both the printer output and my files are right at hand.

I'd be lying if I said the assembly of this piece was easy for me. Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of power tools accessible, which would have made the job a lot faster, but I will say that it was worth it. Incredibly heavy and sturdy. Really beautiful addition to my workspace. I'm really happy with it.

Good buy

Nice looking filing cabinet. The mdf is a bit flimsy. I had one corner crack on the piece under the bottom drawer, but it doesn't show so I didn't get upset. Also, one of the locking socket pieces broke in the back. I had to leave one screw without. Otherwise, the cabinet holds a lot, matches my desk, and was a great buy for the money. Despite flaws, I would recommend this cabinet.

Very attractive and functional. I wanted filing drawers that were nice looking. This took a while to assemble (I did it myself - 67 year-old female) but the instructions were excellent, all the hardware was there and very clearly labeled and all the screws fit in all the holes. I am very please with this piece of furniture.

I have only owned this for a couple weeks. This file cabinet is a beautiful color a white with a soft gray grain. I would say the pictures on my computer were very accurate. I have filled the drawers and it feels fairly sturdy. My only "issue" is when you close the top file drawer you have to give it a little nudge to align properly with the lower drawer. It takes awhile to assemble but the directions are simple to understand. The only part I still am not quite sure of is in the final steps there is a hinge inside you pull forward before putting in the drawer. I am not sure why and I didn't hear any clicks or anything so that I know it was done correctly. I also feel this is a very good value for the quality.

My "home office" is literally my dining room. I wanted some thing where I could put everything away when I was done working and this became a beautiful solution. The drawers open smoothly and it is quite sturdy. It looks like a side board/buffet in my dining room. Guests do not realize it is a file cabinet. The only thing you should be aware of is that the backside is not finished so it needs to be against the wall. That is no problem for me, however when purchasing a buyer should be aware of that. I love it!

Attractive, Holds Lots of Files

This is a good looking piece, but a bit difficult to put together. I hired my daughter, who is an engineer. LOL The good things are that it holds LOTS of files, and you cannot open both drawers at the same time which would make it tip over. My complaints are that the plastic divider clasps slip and slide along top groove, and the top drawer does not pull out far enough to make it easy to remove files. Then again, that might be to prevent it from tipping. All in all, I'm pleased with this purchase, and I bought another Salinas piece to go with it.

Yes you have to build it, no it's not that hard.

For anyone griping about having to build these, that's the case for pretty much anything you buy off Overstock except maybe a couch. That said, instructions are clear and all parts, including hardware, are labeled. I assembled 2 of these by myself in a matter of hours. I did not have any problems with any of the drawers not closing or anything not being level. All you have to do is follow the instructions to the letter. They are great quality and pretty sturdy. They seem like they will hold up pretty well, but only time will tell. The antique white turned out pretty nice. Maybe a little warmer than depicted online but very pretty. And they are deep enough to hold my all-in-one brother printer.

Absolutely beautiful!

This is a beautiful cabinet. It is sturdy and quite roomy. I got it in antique white and it fits my decor perfectly. The drawer hardware is sturdy and very nice looking. It has the common safety feature of only being able to open one drawer at a time. When you close the drawer it has a very soft click to it. My only issue is that I would prefer my folders to hang in two short columns side by side. You cannot do that with this cabinet. Sadly, the measurement to be able to do that is like 1/4 of an inch, if not less. So I have to have my folders running two different ways to accommodate my needs. It's okay just not preferable. Really this cabinet is a wonderful purchase and I would recommend it highly. Very easy to put together, took less than 30 minutes.
