Be prepared to do some work.

The package arrived with some wear and tear since it is heavy. Upon opening the box I discovered the two back pieces were broken. Reached out to Hudson & Canal about replacement pieces and they have not responded after a week. I purchased some glue and paint at the local hardware store and repaired the pieces enough to use. Since the pieces go on the back it worked OK. The heater was dented inside a package with no exterior damage. It is still functional and the dent is hidden once installed in the cabinet. Was also missing a bag of screws which I was able to get at the hardware store. QVC offered to return item for free but I was concerned about getting everything back in the box and making it suitable for shipping. Three stars because once it was together it looks nice from the front. The actual assembly was fairly easy.

We’re absolutely in love with our new fireplace TV stand! I was a little nervous that the flames would be fake and/or cheesy like the crystal fireplace version of the stands, but it isn’t at all. The logs look realistic, and the flames have a decent flicker to them. There’s four levels of a setting for the light intensity, which we appreciated, I am a woman and put it together mainly by myself in about 2 to 3 hours working slowly-ish to avoid making any mistakes. Shipping took less than a week and the unit was package nicely. We were expecting the handles to be gold but they aren’t at all. Thanks overstock!

I’m really impressed with the look of this piece. Once put together it’s solid and pretty. I was able to assemble it by myself - I’m pretty good at furniture assembly so I was able to follow the pictures… there’s not really any descriptions. So if you get this, take your time and really study the pictures. Note that before you install the fireplace, look at the directions for the fireplace in the fireplace box - you need to take off the glass front and add the crystals, put the cover back on and then go back to the assembly directions. You’ll need either a long screwdriver or an extension for your drill in order to reach the screws that you use to fasten the fireplace in place. That was the trickiest part for me. I like the looks of the crystals in the fireplace and it puts out a good amount of heat. All in all this is a good buy!
