Good, slight rust

This is a good purchase for the price, very happy with the decision. Only issue is the lamp shade/reflector came with some rust on the edge, but other than that, it’s been working very well.

A Good Economical Hanging Oil Lamp

A great price on a real neat lamp. My wife loves the utility factor with this thing.

Total garbage

The lamp chimney does dot fit in the reflector which makes this lamp unusable. The defector quality is poor with rust when it arrived. The defector does not fit well over the hanging lamp structure and the cut outs to fit the reflector are not stamped but cut with snips and look terrible. I have an earlier version which i love but this version is just unusable.

Terrible Item, Quality very poor

The product arrived with rust on the reflector shield. The reflector shield fit poorly on the hanging frame. The reflector instead of being like a stamped part had cut marks from where they cut out the part that goes around the hanging frame but not trimmed the excess. The chimney does not fit through the opening in the reflector. I have an older version that I love and wanted another but this is such a disappointment . Does not even deserve 1 star. I am trying to return but have not heard back from Lehman's customer service.

Missing part

Lamp finally arrived and was missing smoke bell. Customer service was very nice but does not have that part available separately. Unfortunately I filled lamp with oil before noticing the missing smoke bell so I am unable to return it. I suppose that’s what I get for buying something imported from China. On the bright side the wall lamp came with all its parts and looks great

Smokey and bad design

The smoke from the lamp is pungent and toxic smelling. The glass flask is fitted very strangely where you have to shove this fragile glass down into the clasp which does not work well and hence the glass flask toppled off and smashed. A dangerous design and a toxic mess

Snapped

Arrived quickly. But shade support frame was not solder in place correctly. Frame set at a angle. When I tried to straighten it , solder broke. But happy with amount of light. I have not contacted anyone yet to get latern replaced yet

Beautiful lamps that in an emergency can become functional.

Exceptional customer service in the face of poor quality item.

The first lamp came in damaged packaging, and was of visibly poor quality. Your customer service was right on top of things, and sent a replacement. The packaging was fine, but the quality of the replacement lamp was poorer than the first one. Again, Lehman’s customer service representative was stellar, addressing this and making sure we reached a satisfactory solution. The supplier is at fault here, and Lehman’s needs to re-consider using this particular manufacturer, if nothing else to protect Lehman’s good name.

Great Value - Works Perfectly!

I purchased this lamp to replace a candle lantern that hung for years in the corner of our off the grid, island cabin. Wow, should have done that long ago! This lamp is not only inexpensive but is easy to use and works perfectly as intended. The hood directs the light downward over our propane cooktop and with its flat bottom the lamp can be placed directly on the dinning table without removal from the hanging bracket. It is easy to fill and light and produces a bright and steady flame. We hang ours from a hanging plant style cast metal wall bracket which is just the right length for the lamp shade to clear the wall. After lighting be sure to lower the wick so that it remains down in the gallery where the air flow is. If you see the top of the wick protruding above the gallery it is too high and will burn poorly and produce a weak light.

Lehman's used to care about quality.

Was sadly surprised that this lamp came from Lehman's. The base had a good- sized hole in it, towards the bottom, can't be filled with oil because of it. Since there was no glass fragments in the box in which it came, it must have been damaged prior to shipping. And the weld at the top loop was not straight- so the 'hanging' arm was quite lopsided...

Excellence

We ordered three of these lamps plus a spare globe. We were away when they arrived. The largest of the two packages had a corner heavily damaged, crushed inwards. We were expecting the worst when we opened it. However, Jill at Lehman's had done such an excellent job of packing this product that neither of the two lamps or the globe had any visible damage. The other carton was packed the same way, the lamp unbroken as well. We filled all three glass reservoirs with water to check for leaks. None! All three lamps are hanging, beautifully lit. Thank you so much Lehman's for carrying on the tradition of quality American workmanship and taking pride in a job well done.

My second hanging lamp review ...Twice Happy

I really liked this hanging oil lamp I bought last Spring, so I ordered another one. Now I have one on each side of the porch on my old farmhouse. The matching pair looks great ! The front porch runs along the side of the house with steps on each end. I haven't used the electric porch light since having this lamp, as I don't like a light too bright when sitting outside. I use a half and half mixture of Citronella and kerosene. There's nice glow on each side of the porch and able to sit outside at night without being annoyed by bugs!After reading some other reviews, I'll offer a couple tips, since I've had the hanging lamp since Spring.1. Let the wick soak for a few hours before using, and adjust the wick UNDER the burner after lighting. If you leave the wick showing, it will burn much faster. With the wick under, you'll get a better flame, far less smoke and save the wick. I've used my lamp every night for a few months now, about 4 hours a night, and still have over 90% of the original wick. 2. I read where someone got one that had a leak. If you should get one with a slow leak through the seam of the glass, spray the bottom with CLEAR Flex Seal , wait 24 hours and the leak is solved. Lehman's is a great company with excellent products. This lamp is a really good deal ! ENJOY !

Great Value But Order Extra Chimnies

Love the lamp and throws gret light but the chimney is not a common size you can find at a hardware store. Order a few extra in case you break a chimney refueling this lamp.

Hanging Awesomeness

This last order contained my 5th hanging lamp. I absolutely love these and plan to order at least another 4 more. Lehman's packers do a great job packing these so there is no way anything gets broke and I really appreciate that. These lamps put out great lighting and are easy as ever to use, clean and refill.
