This filter is easy to take out and put in. We really like getting them in the mail and having it ready to change out.

I've used these filters a few times, and they've always worked well and even allow good airflow as they become very dusty (I accidentally waited too long to replace it one time).

This is the exact filter I needed for the AprilAire furnace system in our house. I was told it is hard to find, but it was easily shipped to me by Home Depot.

Best Filter

We upgraded to the 216 from the 213 for better allergy protection and because it catches viruses. The 216 is more expensive than the 213 and needs to be changed every 6 months (213 is yearly).

Best allergy filter

Excellent filter for people with allergies and asthma. Not recommended for 5-ton furnaces or larger. I have a 5-ton furnace and it works fine. No problems with pressure drop that will cause air conditioning coils to ice-up. The 216 filter has 37% more surface area then the 213 filter.

This Aprilaire air filter is a great value. I’ve struggled with allergies for so ling, and i have found this air filter has helped me control my sneezing snd itchy nose tremendously. It helps provide clean sir for a healthy home. It not only helps with dust and pollen, but with odor also. It is made of solid materials and was easy to install. I wish i did it sooner.

Seems to be a very good filter with a 16 MERV rating looking forward to a cleaner house. So far no apparent change in furnace performance. the filter is very expensive though. Hope it lives up to its cost.

I got this without thinking, I need to get a filter box made for this filter, on order, These filters slide into a metal frame box and have a track at the top and bottom to hld it open. The filter has 3 straps on each side that keep the pleats open, the back has a nice heavy duty metal screen to hold the shape of the filter and keeps the pleats open. the material is very fine and is a Merv rating of 16 which is very high to keep out just about anything that may be found in the air.

The AprilAire 20 in. x 25 in. x 4 in. Air Cleaner Filter for Whole-House Air Purifier Models 1210,1620,2210,2216, and 4200 MERV 16 is an incredibly effective air filter. I am a lifetime asthmatic and I am acutely sensitive to a variety of dust particles and other airborne contaminants, and this filter has performed outstandingly for me. No coughing, no wheezing, no other ill effects, nothing at all. The air in my home is nice and clean and fresh, even though it is late December 2022 as I write this. This filter is very well made, and I can state without hesitation that it performs far and above inexpensive knockoffs. When it comes to my being able to breathe freely, there is no question that this is the best I have ever experienced in 65+ years as an asthmatic. As far as installation is concerned, it takes about one minute or less. I give the AprilAire Air Cleaner Filter my very highest possible recommendation.

[Rewarded Review] Good quality air filter let down somewhat by packaging

I like the fact that these filters concertina into a compact form and therefore are more compact to ship and store, and hence less likely to get damaged unlike say a "normal" 20x25x4 filter. They are also made from very good quality filter material and definitely look like the kind of fabric you would expect in a Merv 16 filter. Overall great quality, as you would expect at this price from AprilAire.

Thi is an excellent filter for those suffering with allergies and asthma. It is made by Alpineaire for furnaces taking this type and style filer. I it very well made. Fits furnace filter size 20 inches by 25 inches by 4 inches thick. It is marked for airflow direction. It's rated Merc 16. No assembly is required for installation. Simply slide into the upper receiving support track and the lower support track, slide in and replace the filter cover.

The AprilAire filter is just what my family needs. At the merv 16 level, it supposedly traps basically everything! From dust to mold, ew. When it first came, I was a little hesitant, because of the new HVAC system. I'm usually used to the big bulky filters and this came in a little box, accordion style. But to my surprise, it was a quick install and I am one happy person.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent long lasting, MERV 16 American Made whole house air filter

I ordered this filter to upgrade my 2 HVAC units to MERV 16 with a quality pleated filter. These filters take out air born viruses, alergens and smoke down to a level of up to 99% and last from 6 months to 1 year compared to the ones I have been using that only last 3 months. I ordered the AprilAir Upgrade Kit Replacement Frames for Whole House Air Purifiers SK 4897. This kit allows me to adjust the height of the filter. It fit perfect in my Honey Well filter holders once adjusted to the proper height. Be advised that the other upgrade kits that say they are 20X25X4 are actually 21 inches tall and they will not fit the Honeywell holders. Once assembled the filter is now working great and should last about a year before changing. The added bonus is the AprilAir filters are MERV 16! I have added photos, I hope they help.

Excellent product. Walmart had the best price that I could find. It arrived very quickly.

First time I've used the A216 I usually get the A213. We'll see if it is a better filter. It seemed like a different filter material
