Quite sturdy and stable once it's weighed down with a tv. Up close, it's obvious that it isn't real wood, but it looks great from tv-watching distance. It fit my 55-inch tv with ample room for small speakers on both sides. Assembly was tedious and requires using some nails and screws without guide holes; however, the instructions were clear. I was surprised to learn that the backing only includes one hole for cables (behind the top left shelf). If you're hoping to keep your theater equipment inside the cabinet, you'll have to make your own hole.

Very cheaply made product. Hinges for the door are low quality and therefore caused major problems. We had to create "stoppers" for the doors so that they didn't go in and would lay flush like normal instead. Boards scratch very easily so by the time it's assembled there are always a couple so be careful! First product arrived damaged (because of shipper) - but overstock was great and sent a new item. However, even the second delivery, the package was warped so the two main boards had a bend in them. Disappointing but not sure how it could be avoided.
