Aqua-Pure AP904 system

We have the Aqua-Pure AP904 Series whole house water filter system. Bought it to remove the mineral buildup as our area is known for 'hard' water. We have city water. System works great keeping the scale to a minimum. Like that the filter lasts for up to a year before changing.

Not as great as I had hoped

I've been a long time buyer of these 3M water filter cartridges and I decided to go for this higher end version. The cartridge fit fine but for the promise of better water filtration and calcium breakdown not sure it does anything more vs. the cheaper version. Next time I am going with the cheaper version.

Eliminates chlorine

I have installed this product in many homes over the years as an option to eliminate chlorine from the water supply. Customers have been happy with the filters performance and lifespan.

What do I do with the clear beads in the bag?

There were a bunch of clear beads in the plastic bag that the filter was in. I'm guessing they should be in the filter. I couldn't tell if they go into the center hole of the filter or into the space around it so I just threw them out.

We moved into our current home back in 2015 and truly forgot that there was a water softener. We obviously never changed the filter. Our water was super hard and all of our faucets and shower heads have/had built up calcium. We were actually looking to purchase a water softening system and the salesman had us sold on one that was going to be $6,400 installed!!!

Works great.

We get water directly from a lake. This filter is part of our whole house system with another filter and UV. No one can tell we are not on our city water system.

Easy to install. Time will tell how well it works. So far, so good!

Good filtration system

AP917HD is part of a two stage filter system I have. I am very pleased with the water quality compared to no filtration. The system was a good investment. For me, the filters last about 2 years before they must be changed.

Quick and Easy Replacement

Removal of old filter and installation of the new one was very easy. Place bucket under filter, close upstream isolation valve, turn on water at sink to drain line, close downstream valve, remove old filter by releasing locking latch, install new filter, slowly open downstream and upstream valves, run water at sink to flush system. Done. No problems. Installation video is excellent.

3 M Aqua pure filter

We love our 3M Aqua Pure filter, We put the system in back in October . Just bought the refill filter for it. My water is so much better. We could not even drink our water before we had the system installed. Thank you for a great product.

Better Than Expected

I'm usually skeptical of product claims, but this filter surprised me. The water really does taste and feel different. Knocked off one star because replacement filters are a bit pricey.

I've installed many of these. They're reliable and effective, but the head can be a bit finicky to install sometimes. Overall, a solid choice for most homes.
