Be very careful installing and when changing filters.

This is a plastic product that can crack if anything on it is overtightened. They are ok and work fine for quite a number of years but can crack overtime. I would recommend spending a little extra and getting a stainless steel filter housing.

Had one previously and it started leaking from the cap. Must have been screwing on the bottom to tight and cracked it. Replaced it with same. No problem now. Always used 2 filters, but it is nice to know you can order just 1 larger filter.

Easy to install and replace filter elements in. Removes particle contamination and/or bad taste and odor from water if the correct filter elements are used. Much more cost effective than filter pitcher or faucet attachment. Filters water for entire house.

the plastic wrench that came with the above was broken in two...i called supply house....u always anwer your phone very promptly with a knowledgeable person who can always immediately resolve the problem issue. She is sending me a new plastic wrench . Thanks u r the greatest,,,

I had this for 12 years before the head valve burst. I removed it from my system. It works great and i will buy it again. I'm replacing my boiler and water heater. I'll install it with the new stuff. As another reviewer stated. It's smart to have shutoffs on both sides.

Worked great until the 6th filter change

The shut off valve at the top broke after the 6th use. Thankfully had had isolation ball valves and a by-pass.

This same model was in my house when I bought it 7 yrs ago never had any problems with it, until I was fixing a water line and the heat from the torch damaged the seals in it. not knowing how old the unit was and if there were any design changes I decided to by a new unit. the new unit looked a little different but the size and everything that mattered was the same. I removed the old unit and the new one fit right in its place and the filters I have left from the old unit work in the new unit . I am very happy with it

a little pricey should be made with 1" fittings instead of 3/4" good quality though very easy filter changes
