It was easy to replace in existing system. I wasn’t sure if it would work but spun off and on just fine.

Filter does a great job of cleaning the water to our house. Water is clear, taste good, and is odor free. Filter is easy to replace. We've had it in place for over 3 years and are very satisfied.

Replaced original OEM filter with the same OEM item. The original did a great job on filtering out muck from the municipal water system. Kind of disgusting the amount of dirt is in the water.

Failing after 3 months

Started seen black residues in my toilet after 3 months after removing the filter noticed same residues were coming from the filter

Item was delivered 3 days after softener. To late to install in system. Returned to Home Depot.

[Rewarded Review] A much needed important filter

This product really does its job well. The water coming into my home is clearer than it ever was. I never realized that there was so many different particles that cannot be seen by the human eye that was contaminating my drinking water. I even notice that I feel much cleaner when I shower, and not to mention the difference with my coffee taste, tea, and other powered drinks. When I removed the old one from the filter housing it weighed about 5 pounds as compared to the new one that barely had any weight at all. I'm glad that I decided to add the extra water filter with my new water softener.

Terrible, dramatically decreased water pressure. Waste of $45. I went back to the basic $16 filters.

Clogs way too fast on city water

I used to exclusively use Pentek 5 micron filters, but this aquasure 25 micron filter came with my water softener. I am on city water and this filter clogged after 2 months (low flow) and at over $40 each this is not a good value. At the next chance, I will have to replace the housing as it is proprietary with a Pentek one and use their filters at half the price and much longer life. Even a 5 micron filter (which should last less) outlives this 25 micron one.
