Happy with the water softner. I shouldnt have gone for the reverse osmosis filter. for a gallon of purified water it wastes 4 gallons of water. I'm totally dissatisfied with that. wasted my money and continued wasting it as long as i use it. Just go for the softner. your fridge have a filter. so dont go for the water filter

Water softener put resin into my entire plumbing system

I installed the water softener in my brand new house, after plumbing my house for the water filter and softener and getting everything hooked up and walking through the startup and putting the softener in service mode all of my pipes were immediately filled with resin from the water softener. I spent 4+ hours taking apart all of the faucets in my house and clearing the lines of the resin. I also had to drain and flush my water heater for several hours. When I called home depot to see if I could just replace the tank they told me I had to take all pieces of this combo kit back to return/exchange. I had to redo my plumbing again to take the filter and the softener out and return all pieces of the combo. I just hope this doesn't cause lasting damage to any of my appliances or plumbing on top of the expenses (time and money) that it already caused.

Easy to install, needed to purchase 3 one inch fittings and some plumbers tape. As long as you have some channel locks it’s a no brainer. Make sure. To lubricate the pre assembled head. Instructions say to skip that part if preassembled but needed to be lubricated after it leaked. Another issue I had was that there was a leak where the brine line connects to the control head. But the people at Aquasure were happy to help.
