It takes for ever to fill up a gallon

Will give this product a five star for the size and design but im not convinced why it takes about 1 1/2 hrs to fill a one gallon bucke.

nano reef tank needs 0 TDS water

Set it up in a unused bathroom shower/tube and made my first batch of RODI water. Works great and make around 1 gallon every 40 min. or so. Comes out 0 TDS which is what I need. Perfect for making reef tank water in my 8 gal. nano.

Great portable unit

Hook to my garden faucet outside,,Been using for 7 months with no issues,,still 0 TDS water for my 10 gallon aquarium, I've been making 20 gallons a month,use for my CPAP and coffee also,I'm ordering a second unit as a replacement,it is cheaper to replace whole unit when filters eventually fail,,,hopefully get a year out of unit

initially charged wrong amount

initially my Mastercard company informed me the price paid was a higher amount (a $20 off coupon had not been applied as promised), so I had to call Chewy and speak to a supervisor to get that charge eventually corrected

Great value for less than $100 and something you can install yourself. Instructions are very clear and everything is marked so it's just a matter of reading and following directions. It did not fit my laundry room faucet (kitchen-style pull down faucet) but I was able to hook it up to a nearby spigot. It's pretty slow but for my 29 gallon tank that should be sufficient.

The filters were exhausted after about 30 gallons. If you need more than that please buy the 100 gallon model and hope you get 60 out of it.

Haven't had the unit long but appears to function correctly. Using a TDS meter, water appears pure. It is rated for 50 gallons per day, but so far has averaged about 40 gallons per day. It will take several weeks to see how my reef tanks react to this new water source.

Missing Parts

I was setting the filter up to use for the first time. The instructions say to unscrew the big white canister which holds the TDS filer. Upon opening it it was empty. There was no TDS filter in the box either! How am I supposed to use this if all of the filters aren’t included…

Produces more wast than clean water

When I received this item I followed the directions exactly after setting it up and drawing the filters for 30 min as described on the directions I seen it produced more wast water than it was filtering. I was disappointed because I dislike wasting water system is very slow and I don't think I'll be returning I'll look for other options.I really wanted this to work because it fit my budget.

Great little portable unit. I make RODI water about 20 gallons at a time in advance with this. TDS comes in at or very near 0. I was about to produce 12 gallons in about 3 hours or so. Be sure to pay attention to directions to flush the carbon block before adding membrane cartridge then rinse the membrane for a full 30 minutes after attaching to remove all of the heavily coated preservatives within it. Also,a few minutes of extra time with the water hook up fittings will solve the water leaks folks mentioned. Great unit for volume produced %26 price point.

Already assembled

Very simple to install. The unit was pre-assembled which made it even simpler. Works great.

Not worth it

I have city water and struggled with red slime until I decided to tear down and start over. I tried buying bottled water and this cheaper unit until I finally caved and bought a $300 unit. My tank cleared almost overnight.

terrible quality

I have bought 2 of these setups from chewy to use to filter my tap water for my dogs. The first unit lasted 6 months and I had no problems with it. The second unit went up in price by $20 and it leaked from the faucet adapter right out of the box. Not even 3 months later and only filtered maybe 100 gallons of water and the filters are completely done. Unhappy that the price went up and quality of filters went down. I do not recommend this and will look into something better and more efficient to filter my dogs water.

Good unit for money

Unit was easy to assemble, took about an hour but 35 min was spent flushing various filters. Took about 2 hours to get 5 gallons of water, but I have pretty hard tap water. Works on my laundry room sink with the included adapter. Plenty of airline tube included, although my set up used all of it. I didn’t mount the unit. Just keep it in a bucket under the sink. Works vertically or horizontally so I just lay it next to my sink. Good unit to start off with especially if u have a small tank like me (20g).

RO Buddie 4 Stage

Very easy to setup and install. My 45 gallon reef tank parameters are all in check now that I use this ro system for 5 gallon water change every 2 weeks.
