the wooden supply chest is well made, but too small and didn't fit all my paints and brushes. Also too heavy for Plein Air

Amazingly versatile supply chest

This chest is very adaptable. I liked it so much I bought two. Not only is it great for art supplies, but it can also be used for shoe shine supplies. It fits shoe brushes, polishes, waxes perfectly. And because you can remove the thin dividers, it's very customizable. Highly recommended as a supply chest for any hobby.

Beautiful and sturdy

This box is adjustable so I am able to easily accommodate my art materials. It is a good change from the canvas carrier I had because I can locate items with ease.

Bought three of these for my young granddaughters for Christmas. They came well packaged in a timely manner. They are solid and hold everything they need. The dividers are removable but do not have alternative slots.

Too heavy to carry

The dividers inside are not stable. When I forced to squeeze something into the sections, the dividers came off. The most of my stuffs didn't fit into the sections with the long horizontal divider. And without the long horizontal divider, there was no way to use the rest of other dividers. So I had to take out all the dividers. I've managed to put all my stuffs somehow in to the box but then I found it's too heavy to carry.

Good looks

I like the box a lot. It is well made and good looking but it is very functional as well. The dividers can be moved around giving me flexibility. My only negative comment is that I personally wished that there was a handle in the middle of the upper tray so that I could remove it with one hand but that said, as an artist I like things that look good and are still functional. This box fulfills my needs very well.

An extremely well joined wooden box. The first thing I did upon opening was to put on and buff three coats of Old English Furniture Polish for light woods. The polish really brings out the luster of the finish. It has already provided excelent scratch and strain protection. I place the box on an open desk drawer, and it is the right height to provide a work area for stropping my woodcarving tools. A;lready durable. On my desk with the open drawer it's a memo shelf. The modular inner compartment deviders work well. If the lower coppartment were a little higher it would accomodate inverted craft paints. The upper tray holds even my longest brushes with ease. I couldn't be happyer.

When my supply chest came I Immediately put two coats of Old English Furniture Polish on the chest and buffed the polish. It took on a shine and will porovide scratch protection for years to come. I am please with the exterior appearance. If the lower compartment were a little deeper, the chest would accomodate upright craft paints. The chest is long enough to transport my longest brushes with space left over. I like the adjustable spacers in the lower compartment. This chest is the most.

Excellent light weight chest

I use to store my native American artifacts that carry with me. Not the usual items--but very precious to me.

I would buy this again when I run out of space in this one.

I store medium, gesso, sponges and acrylic ink in the bottom, various brushes in the tray. I like that the dividers slide in and are removable.

Beautiful box

This box is actually bigger than I thought, and it has a top inserting piece to give it two layers of storage. I think the dividers in the bottom could possibly be moved to adjust the spaces, but I don't know yet. Smells like fresh wood, and the hand-crafting is beautiful. It would be easy to paint and decorate as well, but I like the natural wood look. I love it! I recommend it, and I also recommend Blicks make more in various sizes.
