They resulted in some cute cookies. There was a little bit of a learning curve - need to flour the piece that moves each time by pressing it into flour. I had to chill the dough to help them not stick. Because of its thinness, the giraffe neck is sometimes hard to get out and browns a little faster. Overall, a fun cookie cutter.

If you are making animal cutout cookies these cutters the way to go. They are easy to use, and make the cutest cookies. I wash by hand and towel dry then air dry. I use these cutters in my Crazy for Cookies Class they student love them!

Adorable and functional

I absolutely love these animal cutters. The cutout designs are really cute — nostalgic of old-time animal cracker designs. Also, the cutters works very well. The spring action makes a nice design imprint in the cookie that remains after baking. I highly recommend.

A Fun Thing To Make

I read an article in a baking magazine I receive about making these cute animal cookies. I bought the cookie cutter set from King Arthur and used the recipe from the magazine, it never suggested chilling the dough. The first effort was not going smoothly, the dough would not come out easily! Then I looked at K.A. reviews while I had the rolled out dough in the refrigerator to chill and stiffen up. I came back to the dough about two hours later and the dough was quite stiff, I lightly spritzed the cutters, floured them and started again. All the cookies released readily, even skinny necked giraffe! They came out quite cute - I will try the K.A. animal cookie recipe next!

Great, safe cutters for my grandson. We liked baking, decorating and eating the cookies.

Easy to use!

Really enjoyed making cookies with these pop out cutters. They are easy to use, and make a nice imprint of the animals. The outline adds just enough on the animals so they look nice, not too plain. I only wish there were at least 8 for the price. Also more variety of animals.

These were a gift to my granddaughters (3 and 5). They came in handy when school was canceled due to snow. They were a huge success. They were so easy to use.

The cookie cutters are so easy to you with the spring attached to pop out the cookie onto your cookie sheet for baking. There is no fuss, they come right out in the perfect shape of the animal, complete with the details of the animal and no distortion! No more struggling to get your cookie cutter to release the dough! What a sanity saver, whether you are working alone or with a two year old as I was the other day. Such a fun and delicious activity. My two year old was so proud of the cookies that he made!

Make your own animal crackers!

Unusual, easy to use, great decoration cutters. Push the cutter into your dough to make a shape and push the plunger to imprint a design on each cookie. Using flour will help the cookie release. The giraffe is a little tedious to make as it has a very narrow neck and legs, but it darling when done. Zebra has stripes, Elephant's ears are highlighted, Giraffe has spots, and Lion shows it's mane.
