I know there’s quite a few reviews on the medallion not fitting properly together. I may have been lucky because mine fit perfectly. I will tell you if you are looking for something that will fit around your canopy this will not fit if your canopy is 5 inches in diameter which mine is. My canopy fit perfectly centered in the middle but on top of where the medallion meets if that makes sense. I ended up having to cut mine to fit around the canopy because if I hadn’t I would have had to buy a longer screw for the canopy so it could sit lower then where it sat before. Canopies are meant to sit flush against the ceiling so there’s not much room to lower it. The medallion is about an inch or so thick. I honestly wish I could have installed it on top of the center rather than around because it initially looked perfect.

This is not a cheap product

This not a vinyl siding type product. You cant bend it. If you have to cut it, the manufacture says to use a hacksaw. It does work and doesnt chip the product. We had to cut ours in half as the old chandeliers couldnt come down without a lot of difficulty. We were going to paint the medallion a dark bronze color but when he held it up on the ceiling----white was the color choice!!!!!! We bought 3 medallions. It gives the livingroom an old an old world look of class. Just love it!!
