This Pleasant HearthAxel Small Glass Firrplace front is amazing.it weighs about 50 pounds.most of the weight is for the doors.the doors weigh about 20 pounds apeice.the finish is great.make sure to measure the opening on your fireplace so you order the right size.they come in three sizes.they don't have a chane as a screen but a screen itself.this fireplace window is well built and well engineered and well constructed.got some before and after pics.what a difference.

One of the doors was loose when i unpacked it. It has small phillips head screws holding the hinges. Both the top and bottom were loose on one side making the door not close, or when it closed the doors overlap. Otherwise, the construction is very nice and heavy- duty. The right screen popped out when i was taking it out of the packaging. I am a little concerned with the warning to "not close the doors while there is a fire burning".
[Rewarded Review] Big Look and Feel for a Set of Doors
Just the right size, and mine is considered on the small size. That said, it looks great. It has a big look and dominant feel and makes the end of the room with the chimney a nice center of attention. Glass doors open smoothly and the inside doors work nicely to control potential sparks. Installation was average, not complicated, but need some problem solving to make the clamps works without using alternatove methods as suggested in the manual. No special tools are required, though two people are needed. The material of the metal framing has that old fashion iron look. I did notice a little oddity, that the frame does not seat solidly against the wall. That's because the wall is not flat.

Looks amazing and very sturdy. I have been looking for months to replace my original fireplace cover and I am so happy that I did I have gotten so many compliments!
