Hanging hardware needs an upgrade

I wish I’d read the reviews before hanging this. Now I have one of the screws included for hanging lodged in my wall/ in the wall anchor that won’t come out, and I need to replace it with one that actually fits the bracket on the shelf. Plus some of the bamboo splintered while assembling the shelf, even though I didn’t screw things in too tightly. Overall I wouldn’t purchase again.

Attractive, useful

Not bad for $20. Easy to assemble, looks good in alcove above toilet. A few splinters on bamboo, so take care. Hanging hardware is, in my opinion, totally inadequate, but an easy swap if you're prepared. The towel rack/bar at back easily holds rolls of toilet paper.

Pretty but Not Sturdy

Shelf is very pretty but I had to return it because it was falling apart as I was putting it together. The wood started splitting as the screws were being installed, and in such a way that it couldn’t be fixed.

Very pretty, but not a good fit for my space

My fault for not carefully reading the dimensions, so this did not work in the space I bought it for. It was easy to assemble. My only quibble is the mounting screws did not fit well into the slots on the back of the unit. If I were hanging it again, I would use different screws. It would be nice over-the-toilet storage, but was not a good fit for beside of my vanity.

Nice shelf, hanging screws too big

As a previous review mentioned, the screws that came with this shelf are slightly too large to fit easily into the hanging brackets. I used other screws I had which are the same length and gauge but with a slightly smaller head. The shelf itself looks nice and was pretty easy to assemble.

Beautiful shelf, hard to hang.

The shelf was easy enough to put together but the screws used to hang it didn’t work right. The heads of the screws were just barely too big to fit in the keyhole on the back. My husband had to drill the opening a smidge wider to get them to fit. Otherwise, it’s really nice and looks great!

Not the quality I expected.

At this price range I expected better quality. Corner cuts were not the same radius making them look as if they didn't fit. The towel rod screw holes were loose and stripped right off so that it spins and doesn't feel secure. My rack is hung where you can see the sides upon walking into the room. I expected screw hole plugs of some sorts to cover the ugly shiny gold screws. And finally, one of the top pieces was broken. It was assembled with glue and tiny nails, which were now bent, making it irreparable.

Nice rack!

Rack is nicely made for the price. Great size for a small bathroom. It looks nice on our pine wood cabin bathroom walls, and provides great storage for towels for guests. Perfect solution.

Next time, I make a shelf myself.

For the price paid, I expected a complete item. No, assembly needed. Also, holes drilled for the dowels were too large, making the dowels useless. Also, the wall anchor screws are so small they do not hold the unit snug against the wall making for a flimsy connection. Also, in my opinion, the wall anchors are so cheap that a heavy object placed on the shelf could cause it to collapse. I regret buying this for the time wasted. R.K.
