Great item! Exactly what we needed. We like that the aerator can be easily removed by hand for cleaning etc.. we love the black finish, faucet has been installed for a few weeks and finish and controls stay clean and smooth. Thank you moen ! Thank you Home Depot!!
Leaking problem with the quick connect
Just bought a week ago and installed. The quick connect hose arrangement is leaking at the center attachment point where the button to release it is located. Other parts seem fine but it's a disappointing beginning. I will be requesting a replacement part.
Exceptional Value, NEW Faucet inside a worn box.
beautiful high quality color and materials. Love the ability to move the faucet side to side. LOVE the pull up drain knob on the back of the faucet. No dirty water hands. High quality and look all the way.
Sooo not a fan
Hubbs store shopped this item at our local ACE. He did not pre view reviews or anything else. Our skill level is fairly solid with plumbing. We have done many faucets, showers and even hard plumbed a inline recirculating pump on a WH. That being said; this faucet assembly was ridiculous to install. It was a 2 person job and took us both several hours. This was certainly not a simple faucet assembly swap out. Especially considering we were not plumbing in shut off valves or anything else grandiose. No water lines were included, nor was their size listed for convenience. Is that really sooo hard to do? But the kicker...the plunger multi hole assembly strip. Once we installed it at the nut end, making this plunger hole assembly strip verticle and perpendicular to the plunger ball, we were shocked. The difference between both sides of this " L" was a good 5" from one another! There was no way this would attatch without an additional piece of hole strip. Which of course was not provided. We gave up; tossed that whole strip to the side and re-installed the original hole strip from the removal. As it was not damaged; only the sink side of the faucets were. Not only was it faster, with its large ring assembly, it fit like a dream. We would not ever recommend this faucet.
Moen reputation
We needed a new bathroom faucet. Because of our experience with the Moen kitchen faucet we have, and the way Moen stood behind the product when we had a sprayer problem, we decided to buy the Moen bathroom faucet. It didn't take long for my husband to install it; it looks nice and works great.
Beware new box - hot missing Cartridge Nut
We installed the Banbury Two-Handle Bathroom Faucet. Instructions said to just "Install faucet with gasket". Turned on the water and it blew the hot water handle right off. Had a fountain of water going and flooded the bathroom. The stem was still in the faucet but we saw the Cartridge Nut was missing. Threads were fine, so it didn't blow off. This was a new box.
Very happy with my purchase
I needed to upgrade my faucets, the old ones were old and could no longer be repaired. My plumber recommends Moen, simple to install and good warranty. Though I'm not a fan of the high arch style I do like the faucet and they do not splash. I especially like how easy it is to remove the filter cartridge at the end of the faucet to rinse out and really like the pop-up drain. Very happy with my purchase.
Try another brand
Body is plastic. Unit has very cheap feel to it.
Good looks, but plastic parts
Positive first: easy installation and it looks beautiful. The main fixture is very solid. Negative: The drain if plastic - something I've noticed to be an increasing trend with Moen. It's unfortunate that Moen has built such a great reputation for quality and now they're risking it all for cheap, plastic parts. Overall, I'm satisfied. But this isn't the elite purchase for which I was going. We purchased 2 others which I will proceed to retain and install, nonetheless.
Did this product change or something?
We bought one of these as part of a bathroom renovation back in early 2013. I've always loved the movable faucet, never had issues with the plug lever, and although I wish it was easier to clean between the levers and faucet base, it's not impossible (but the next time I have an actual choice, I'm going widespread vs. center set). It's been 8+ years now, and the faucet has just started to leak in the past couple of months...I'd say that's pretty good. We are redoing a different bathroom and decided to buy another one of these faucets since we liked this one so much. That's why I was shocked to read all of the negative reviews about it on here. I know products sometimes change over time, so I'm wondering if the quality has deteriorated and/or different "innards" are being used for this faucet now, causing it to not perform as well as the one we bought many years ago?
Some drawbacks but OK for a lower cost faucet
I replaced a couple of chrome Brantford faucets with two Banbury Mediterranean Bronze faucets. The quality and weight of the Banbury faucets are not as good as the Brantford series, but the cost is considerably lower. There are some plastic parts of the waterway and the pop-up drain is a lower quality. The rod that operates the pop-up drain passes through a hole directly in the base of the faucet, so water drips through the hole into the cabinet below if any amount of water gets on the base. That is particularly inconvenient for cleaning the faucet if you use water to rinse it afterward. The handles are secured by setscrews and there are no closures (caps) for the setscrew holes which is mainly a cosmetic issue. The swiveling high-arc spout is a nice feature of this product. I plan to replace these faucets with bronze Brantford faucets to get a better quality product for my bathroom. For faucets on a budget, I would recommend the Banbury series, but for better quality I think the Brantford series is worth the extra cost.
Poor design, leaks badly
Avoid this one! I have installed countless faucets over the years and this was easily the worst. The drain pipe has large holes in the top of it it that allow water to leakdown the exterior of the pipe. You must pack the entire surround of the pipe in putty as well as use teflon tape on the drain threads and the supply line threads or both will leak all over, even when fully tightened. On mine the handles didn't line up when shut off (5+ degrees difference). It is partially plastic on the base and handles and feels cheap and easily broken. Took over 2 hrs to seal, pack, and tighten everything enough to get the leaks to stop. Will probably end up replacing when it leaks again
Poor quality, leaks everywhere.

Looks great, poor stopper design.
Had it all together before realizing that the travel of the stopper handle is severely limited on my particular sink. It may work fine for your sink, but it is absolutely worth a fit test before applying silicon, cutting anything to fit, installing the drain, etc.

Excellent faucet, but installation warnings shouldn't be buried in the parts list. We missed the warning against mounting to hard pipe. As a result our second one leaked from the internal plastic header. Thankfully, Home Depot is great about the returns. We now have this installed at two sinks and we love them. The high arch, and ability to swivel the faucet, lets us get larger objects (like humidifier tanks) into the bathroom sinks for cleanings. The older faucet has been installed for years, without issue. It even looks new, since it easily polishes up with a soft towel.
Wonderful once I got the right parts and it was successfully installed
It's only been a few days (can't speak to durability yet) but I love the features in this high-arc model. Whether I recommend it after a couple of years or judge its quality are questions better answered down the road; for now, I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. I am considering buying a couple more of these. I encountered three installation problems as a DIYer, though, or I would have rated it better. 1) the supply lines that I bought at the closest big box store would not attach to the threads. The coupling nuts were just too shallow and the end of the faucet male threaded stud did not extend all the way to the end of the stud, resulting in inability of the nut on the supply line to grab the threads. I tried this with two faucets and four supply lines with the same results. I called Moen, who suggested that I try BrassCraft supply lines, which worked. 2) the PVC tailpiece seems awfully thin, and I had to goop it up with plumber's grease to hold the slip nut (not supplied) in place while trying to insert the end of the tailpiece into the trap. 3) Once all was assembled, I turned on the faucet and the spout blew off in a spectacular "take-off." I don't think I'll ever turn on another new faucet full-blast again. The spout base uses a nylon or plastic ring that must not havebeen secured on the spout base at the Moen factory. Moen quickly shipped the repair parts & I repaired it.

We purchased two of these faucets to update the bathrooms in our second home. They look beautiful in the oiled bronze with copper highlights. We really like how the arc swings to either side. The installation was very frustrating though. The specified water supply lines did not work. We had to return to Home Depot a few times. We eventually purchased a 20 inch toilet supply line that worked. We found some comments about this problem on the Moen service FAQ website which mentioned that an adapter may be needed to make the connection, but the link on the site did not bring us to any information on the adapter. After hours of trying to make the thing work, we were able to connect it and get our water turned back on. And, it really does do a great job of updating and upgrading our bathroom. Moen should provide the adapters or at least mention them in the literature, and give a model number.

I purchased TWO of the same model. Both have handles that have some rubbery vertical movement, no doubt to the thermoplastic cartridge shaft. If you think you are getting the quality feel of a metal cartridge you are out of luck. One of them was MUCH WORSE than the other. I called Moen. In short, they initially were going to send me a handle She also said to tighten the cartridge nut, which I tried to do but found it already tight. Out of curiosity I took the handle off the better of the two and tried it on the other Though both faucets are the SAME MODEL and look the same they are manufactured differently The handles are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE! So if they were going to send me a handle, which one would I get? Another call to Moen was required. Moen decided to ship me a new faucet. However they told me it would take 15 DAYS! After strongly expressing my displeasure they are now shipping it 2-day service. Try this model in store before you buy.

As the owner of two Moen Banbury bathroom vanity fixtures, I feel this is a solid addition to any bathroom. My recommendation in favor of the Moen Banbury bathroom faucet comes, however, with a strong caveat for those who get it in mind, like I did, to spring for additional pieces from this collection (more on that in a second). Aesthetically, Moen's Banbury series is one of the more graceful designs I've seen. Initially I made this purchase at a Home Depot store in chrome — but after six months I swapped it out for the Mediterranean Bronze finish, which is a better match for my bath. As an FYI to my fellow shoppers, the drain-stopper for the Mediterranean Bronze version of this fixture is plastic, whereas the chrome finish reacted to magnet, indicating that it has a thin metal plating on the drain bezel and the stopper. I am skeptical as to how the plastic stopper construction will hold up and whether bathroom cleaners might mar the finish. Another minor gripe is that the stopper-pull sits at an angle that makes it appear bent. (Per the manufacturer reply in the customer Q&A here, it is angled is by design.) The stopper-pull could glide a little more smoothly for my taste but the important thing is that the stopper seals the sink successfully (which it does). So if the Banbury bathroom faucet is a keeper, you might be tempted like I was to assume the same is true of the rest of this collection. I found out after my local water company did work on the water lines in my neighborhood, sending debris down the line that "killed" my aging shower/tub mixer. Given that I now had an excuse to "upgrade" the rest of my bathroom, I headed to my nearest Home Depot store to track down the matching Banbury tub/shower trim kit consisting of valve, wall plate, tub spout, shower head and the optional Banbury hand shower (almost all of which was in stock at my local Home Depot). Based on my strong impression of the faucet, I had no doubt that I would take to the balance of the collection. Unfortunately, my assumption proved wrong. The problem is, I saw the Moen Banbury bath/shower trim kit on a display at Home Depot at a level that was too high off the floor to appreciate that what I was looking at was largely plastic. Despite that the fact that Moen's Mediterranean Bronze finish is the most costly of the bunch, it turns out even the spout for the tub in this collection is plastic as is the wall plate for the single-handle shower handle. Needless to say, this is what I was expecting for a trim-kit price that exceeds some of the competing brands all-metal equivalents. The real deal-breaker, however, occurred when the included Moen valve performed poorly upon first use (shower went stone cold before I could lather up!). Simultaneously, the diverter for the spout failed causing water to flow from the tub spout and shower head simultaneously. Having already paid a contractor to install the matching pieces in this set, I was forced to start over with a plumber to pull the flimsy trim kit so I could return it to Home Depot. In the end, I was forced to pony up for double installation fees to swap out my defective Banbury trim kit for another make. (This time I did my homework, which led me to a tip I can pass on: If you're in the midst of a bathroom refresh/remodel and are operating under the impression that bath/shower trim is constructed of traditional material such as brass, check with the manufacturer first because there are several brands that have shifted to plastic for what others are still charging for metal.) In my case, hindsight is 20/20. Had I cracked open the Moen box before my contractor arrived to install it, I would have spared myself a costly new homeowner mistake.

I bought this faucet to replace a 30 year old unit. I was attracted to the Moen brand, the style of this model and the swivel spout. Installation was straightforward, but I was disappointed to discover that because the drain plug was flat, some water remained in the sink after use.
