I bought this as a gift for my brother, who is a very unlikely Barbie collector. As a grade school teacher, he likes historical dolls like this for the chance they give to talk about famous people, or to just give the kids a fun doll to play with. I really appreciated that the box was delivered without any dents or creases - it made the gift that much more special.

I love this line of Barbies! Girls need to have someone to look at and say "She did it and so can I." Bessie was a favorite of mine because she was told she couldn't during a time when it would have been easy to give up. She found her way by going to another country. She is truly an inspiration.
