Beautiful Desk...terrible assembly instructions!

The desk is lovely and fits beautifully in my space. However, the assembly process was extremely frustrating. My husband is a builder/contractor and said this was by far the worst assembly instructions he's ever had to work with. He got so frustrated, he had to walk away for a few hours and come back to it, and took approximately 2 days to complete. Assembly parts are cheezy and some broke, with not enough spares. Buyer beware! You need a bucket load of patience & time to put this together! Fortunately, I found this desk on Marketplace, new and straight out of the box for a significantly lower price than on the Bestar site.

Great Home Office

Purchased 2 of these for a home office. Took time to carefully assemble them with opposite returns. Added some cable cutouts with caps to hide wires. Mounted power strips underneath. Great storage too

Desk

I bought 2 of these. They are wonderful. I'll be honest, the directions leave much to the imagination. Also over half the boards are not labeled. No stickers nothing. The best thing you can do is take a wild guess. Try to match the hole pattern. Once you get it together it's good, solid and stable.

Although this was initially difficult to put together, i followed the step by step instructions and it came together nicely.

Went together really easy and is built like a tank!

Never receive after 1 mounth and I am in 3 hours of range from the warehouse.

Sturdy and as shown

Very easy to follow instructions and the construction is very sturdy. I'm convinced this desk will last me a long time all the pieces were there and everything fitted perfectly.

L shaped desk

Took a couple days to assembly but everything went very fluidly. Very nice looking desk. one good part about it that it's reversible. Anyone wat a nice desk, buy this one.

Stickers took off finish

The numbered stickers that were used to help put the desk together, when removed, it took off the finish of the desk. Do you have touch up paint or something we can use? The rest of the stickers are still on the desk.

Cheap and damaged product

If you like a a lower quality than Ikea, with cheap material, handled by Carriers who don't care about your items, and deliver on the Sidewalk, you are on the right place.

I won't deal with this company again.

Overall the quality of the desk and shelves is pretty good. The instruction manuals are atrocious and hard to follow. At one point I returned a desk to this company and was promised in an email for a full refund following the purchase of another desk. I ordered the other desk and was never credited back my full purchase price of the desk previous. I won't be dealing with this company again

Assembling 2 Dayton Desks

Nice desk. Shipping was not great. I bought 2 desk (2 large boxes each) and they loaded all 4 on one pallet, driver said 550 lbs, and they did not ship it with lift gate instructions, so they shipped in a regular freight truck and the driver call and wanted to know where my forklift was or how I was going to get them unloaded. I did manage to get them unloaded as I have done quite a bit of this, but that could have been much better. Assembly was ok as, again, I had done quite a bit of this before. They did included separate instructions for right or left return assembly, which was good as I had one of each and that made it less confusing. It would be much better if you could start with one box, and maybe label it box #1 and then go to the next rather than have to open and separate both boxes fully to even start the assembly because the first parts that you use are mixed in both boxes. It requires quite a bit of room to separate and be able to see all the parts. I did the assembly alone, but as they instructed, it would be best for most people to have 2 people do it. It took me about 5 hours on the first one and a little less on the second one. One tip, open both boxes and spread all the parts around where you can easily see them and open and separate all the hardware and then follow the instructions exactly.
