Terribel quality control
Item arrived broken. It looks like it was packaged broken. There seems to be no way to speak with anyone about this serverely damaged item.
This bed frame is exactly what we needed. We bought two for each guestroom. There is enough space under the beds for storage. Set up was easy and the design is classy.
Out of the box, this item was damaged or defective in at least seven places, including peeling plywood (it is NOT a fully solid wood piece as advertised, though it does have some solid wood parts), stain/lacquer application issues, three non-matching stains, parts that had no protective coating whatsoever, and a puncture through the back of the upholstered headboard. Additionally, the upholstery color is far lighter than what is pictured here. The charcoal you see in the product photos is in fact a medium gray (about 5 shades lighter).
Full size awesome bed for my guest room. The wood was a little lighter than expected but still goes well with my dark walnut pieces. It was shipped via 2 different shipments a few days apart. Took maybe a couple of hours to assemble, took my time. Sturdy and well made. I like that you don’t need a box spring. I would recommend.
After a couple weeks of review analysis decided to placed order for it. Yes! got it and we love our platform bed frame. We haven't had any issues with bugs like some people have mentioned but it's pretty obvious that they already had bugs or picked them up elsewhere prior to getting the bed.
Nice looking but cheaply constructed for the price.
When all put together this bed frame looks great. It's exactly as pictured and definitely what I was looking for in terms of its aesthetic. . . . . The issue I have is that for ~$500 the construction isn't that great. The majority of pieces appear to be plywood which is fine but doesn't justify a higher pricepoint. The hardware is mediocre and while it doesn't strip (largely because it's hex head) it also makes assembly more difficult than slightly more expensive hardware would. For the price I shouldn't have to put in wooden dowels or deal with aligning barrel nuts that I have to put in. There were also instances where a screw hole wasn't fully drilled out so I had to drill out the hole before I could use the provided hardware. . . . . My point here is that while this looks nice when completed, its construction feels on par with something from Ikea but with not nearly as well thought out hardware and tooling. That may or may not have implications for it's longevity, but it definitely means putting it together is much more of a pain than you'd expect given how much you paid.
