Pleased with the quality of this chair.

I have heard it said that you get what you pay for. I could have purchased the cheapo Walmart wishbone chair, however I found this set of 2. For $350 and change this set of chairs is a significant investment for me. That being said, what I received were two solid wood chairs with quality woven seats. The back rest is one solid bent wood piece with no join. The chairs are not creaky or shaky like the chairs that they are replacing. I think these are a good compromise between *** trash and the ***. I am pleased with my purchase. FYI, The wood is most likely beech and appears a bit darker and more tan in person.

These chairs are really nice especially for the price. They are very sturdy and I find the corded seat easy to clean. The chairs are also super comfortable for me (I am 5’6”) and my husband who is taller likes them too. I would highly recommend. Looks like the wishbone chair which sells for around *** Great buy!

I don't like to review products until they've performed for a while. We've used these chairs every day at our family table for quite some time and they are holding up great! I have children who sit on their knees on these chairs (and rock them back until I catch them!) and adults in varying sizes up to 6'2"/250lbs. The seat rushing hasn't sagged at all, nothing is loose, no rocking or creaking - very sturdy construction. Everyone comments on how comfortable they are. I use them with a live edge table and the profile is perfect. These chairs could very nicely blend with a variety of decorating styles. I have since seen these chairs on a lot of other websites priced much higher. I'm glad I found these on Overstock!

Beautiful chairs to this novice

There were many folks who were completely knowledgeable about this knock-off chair and how it compared to the original... as I had never seen the original before, I was newly impressed with the design of this in the pictures. I was hoping that they were as sturdy as indicated when getting them in, because sending back furniture is not my idea of a good time. They came in GINORMOUS boxes that were extremely unwieldy, but it became apparent that all of that was for protecting the chairs. None were harmed whatsoever in the shipping. They all sat level and were the same shade/color wood (drives me nuts when buying chairs or matching pieces and they don't actually quite match with the wood.) My tall sister and brother-in-law sat in them first (since shipped to their home during my move) and initially stated that they were comfortable when sitting upright but rubbed their backs when leaning back. I was totally bummed and so a little discouraged when trying them for myself once they brought them here. I am very petite/small person and didn't feel that issue, so then I worried that all my taller friends/family would be uncomfortable when sitting in them. My sister and her husband stayed for dinner, and they both remarked that the chairs were completely comfortable all throughout dinner when seated at the table. I think the way they might have been leaning back in them when trying them away from a table was unnatural to the angle that you'd sit/lean when pulled up to a table. Therefore, I am happy to report that everyone who has sat in them have been comfortable, and I've gotten a ton of compliments. I would highly recommend to anyone to get these... even if you feel they may be a bit pricey (for knock-offs or compared to other cheaper chairs), I would say that they were worth every penny.

Almost perfect knock off

Came assembled, and feels solid and well-made. Authentic Hans Wegner chairs go for upwards of $500 each, but with so little difference in the design, these were perfect for the price. One small gripe - bottom of the feet had clearly been exposed to paint or something black and sticky wherever they were stored. I ended up putting pads on them anyways to protect my wood floors and it did a good job of hiding the black residue.

Comfortable chair
