Outdoor rattan look black and brown metal and plastic floor lamp

Packaging was excellent. All pieces in box and wrapped carefully. The plastic bulb cover was already installed and nearly impossible to remove to install included lightbulb. Multiple tries later and much force the cover finally came off. There is also a red smudge on the plastic cover which will not wipe off. It appears to be in the plastic from the factory. It does not hamper the functionality of the lamp. Besides the plastic bulb cover being extremely difficult to remove, the cord was very difficult to pull through the bottom to get the shade positioned correctly on top to screw in. It almost takes two people to accomplish this or as in my case one person with a lot of difficulty and holding the shade above the pole and pulling with great force to get the cord to come through the opening at the bottom. I am able to accomplish most DIY projects without many issues. This lamp was a little more challenging than it should’ve been. Maybe a factory return or 2nd…not sure. Once finally all put together, the lamp is very nice, sturdy and puts out very good light. It appears to be well insulated for weatherproof and outdoor use. It’s modern looking, the plug in cord is very long approx 17’ and the base is heavy and solid that this fixture should withstand the outdoor elements on a covered patio. The rattan shade is made of black metal and a heavy duty dark brown plastic weaved rattan look. The on/off switch is located at the base of the shade and covered with a rubber material to keep moisture out. Easily turned on and off with the press of the button.

An absolutely stunning piece!

Wow! I was not at all expecting such a beautiful, high quality piece of furniture! This is not just a lamp, no, this is a work of art! It literally took moments to put it together as it is basically together (not entirely) when it arrives it a well packed box. Literally a few twists of the stand pieces since the cord is already running through the pieces. To put the included bulb in you have to reach into the hole at the top of the shade and then sort of twist slightly and the plastic cover for the bulb just pops off. This is a very stylish piece that can be used in a tropical, costal, or modern setting.

The lamp looks great and matches other brown wicker furniture we previously had. Overall the lamp looks great. The power cord was much longer than I expected which eliminated the need for an extension cord. The amount of light coming out of the lamp is a bit lacking for what we wanted but will do because there are no other similar choices we have found.

Frequently Asked Questions

The right height depends on the lamp's purpose. For reading, the bottom of the shade should be at eye level when seated. Taller lamps are good for general room lighting.
