Excellent gift

Several years ago we bought my mother in law (who is in her 80s) a heated blanket, even though we were not completely sure how she would like it. Long story short, she loved it so much and often remarked that she wished it was smaller so that she could "pack it around with her. " This solved that problem, and allows her to be cozy while still leaving her hands arms covered but her hands free for sewing or reading. She loved it.

Lap Blanket

Keeps a Steady Temp

This Electric blanket does not get too hot even when placed on the highest setting which is always my biggest complaint with other blankets. You can actually keep tucked in for longer without worrying about sweating. I do not quite get much use out of the split design. I suppose it makes it a bit easier to wrap around like a cardigan but it does not add value when draped over the legs, as each side tends to slip off the sides easier than if it were just intact. Overall, this is a good buy.

Soft and warm

So snuggly and warm. This wrap is great on cold damp days. There are 3 settings on the control. I mostly use the low and medium settings. This blanket wrap is perfect for snuggling up with a book or a movie. It’s attractive and well made.

Love the cut!

I work from home and have been using this for the last couple of weeks while working. I love it, its so soft and I can control the warmth with one of the 3 settings. The cut is what really makes it great though, just lay ot over your shoulders and thats it!

So Warm and Cozy!

What a great warm blanket to have in the winter, especially this cold winter as gas and electricity costs have soared. It has two layers and both are super soft. The wires that are woven into the blanket are a bit bulky but not too noticeable. You do have to be plugged into the wall so find a chair close to an outlet. I put mine on high and it heats up super fast! After about 10 minutes, I was warm enough and turned it off but just left the blanket covering me. It covers your back and under your rear end, plus around the front. Unfortunately, it doesn't cover my feet which are always cold. This would be a great blanket for someone who likes to sit and read in the evening.

Wonderfully Soft......

Need that extra bit of warmth on that cold or cool night, just reach for this throw from Beautyrest. It is perfect, whether you're relaxing indoors or out on your porch, it's fabulous. It is 100% polyester and is so soft and you can use it to cover yourself or wrap it around you as it Is a partially divided throw so it acts as a poncho or shawl type covering as well. I like using it when I'm sitting at my computer. The control could not be easier to use, just plug it in to the throw(and it snaps into place so you know it's secure) and then to an outlet and you are good to go. There is the on/off switch and three warmth levels. It is generously sized also, 50"x64" and for safety it shuts off own after 2 hours. As soon as I set it up and turned it on, I could feel the warmth start within a few moments. This throw is so pretty too, I love the red/gray/black and cream plaid on what I consider the outside of the throw and a plain creamy sherpa material on the inside. It feels so nice against my skin. There is a very easy to read and follow instruction, care and tip sheet included with this. I love it and it would make a wonderful gift as well. I highly recommend...

Machine washable!

It's machine washable and I'm so happy about that! This heated wrap blanket is a different shape that I'm used to, more of a rectangle than a square. I was a bit leery of the wrap shape, but it turns out it's a pretty genius design! I'm a women's size large in clothing and this wrapped around my shoulders and torso with plenty of room to overlap. I'm 5'5" and the length was good for me to, my arms were covered all the way to my wrists. The colorful side of the blanket is soft and the underside which is white on my blanket (see photo) is super soft! Feels like warm fuzzy pajamas! I live in FL but believe it or not, we do get cold weather and our heater in the house is not that strong since it's rarely needed. Instead I plugged this in and used it before bed to take the chill out. The only drawback is the short cord to plug it into the wall. The 2 hour auto shutoff is for safety, but if you're watching a long movie, just turn it back on again. Great gift for elderly or anyone who is always cold. Overall Great!

Actually a heated poncho

The description of “heated snuggle wrap” on the package is slightly misleading. It’s more like a throw with a slit cut down the middle. A photo would help clarify this. The idea is to place the full side of the throw on your back while the two ends wrap over your shoulders like a poncho. This actually makes it ideal for the office or while sitting at the computer. If you’re on the couch at home, this design leaves your lower half uncovered. I found it works better to place the full side on your chest while allowing the two separate pieces to cover your legs. This was perfect and made sure that all of me was feeling the warmth. The wrap is a soft fleece material on the outside and a thicker sherpa material inside. You may find yourself using it even when it’s not plugged in because it’s so cozy. The controller plugs into a connection on one corner of the throw. It makes a hollow click sound when the two pieces are locked in. To disconnect it, just push down on the tab at the top and pull gently to ease the connection apart. The throw can be machine washed. Instructions are handily printed on a label sewn to the inside. The controller is easy to understand with only an on/off button and a button to choose temperature. I found the heating to be gentle, consistent, and comfortable. Even on the highest setting, it wasn’t too much for me and I’m a person who can’t tolerate intense heat. The power cord could be a bit longer. Also the auto shutoff time is two hours which seems a little short. Apart from these small issues, it’s a good product with a five year warranty that helps keep the thermostat down so I’m all for it.

Warm wrap

Cozy little wrap. I didn't quite expect it to be shaped the way it was. Definitely more wrap than blanket. My two little boys loved it though because they thought the 2 arm covers were individual blankets for each of them. The control gives three different setting (high, medium, low). Blanket material is very soft.

My new favorite blanket

I am always cold! The Beautyrest Ultra Soft Sherpa Berber Fleece heated blanket has not only kept me comfortable and warm, it has saved me from fighting with my husband over the thermostat. He can keep the thermostat set to what he wants, and I can relax comfortably, and warm, with my Beautyrest blanket. I love how soft and plush this blanket is and how it wraps around me like a shawl. One of my favorite things about this blanket is, is that the electric cord can completely detach from the blanket so you can use it as a blanket without the heat and without the annoying cord getting in the way. I also like that the blanket came packaged in a reusable zipper bag so it is really easy to fold and store away when not being used. The power cord is really easy to attach and detach from the blanket and I love that it has three heat settings; the blanket also heats up pretty quickly from the moment you turn it on. I am very pleased with everything about this blanket and it is something I would not only purchase again for my own household, but this would make an excellent gift!
