delivered left with cabinet in box

Large 4 drawer file cabinet delivered but driver refused to unbox. Left with cabinet still in box. How do I unbox this ??

Bad quality, bad service

Purchased in-store to have shipped to my home. Customer service was unhelpful, but he did let borrow a computer to place the order. Cabinet was delivered in 6 days. 2nd drawer from bottom would not open (that drawer has the instructions glued inside). HON e-mail responded a few days later with the instruction manual. After leveling per instructions still didn't work. I discovered the left slide had a broken plastic part that kept the cabinet from unlocking. Customer service sent me 2 replacement left guides and instructions on how to replace the right guide. One left guide was broken exactly like the new one, I'm still searching online for instructions on how to replace the left guide. If I wanted to be a HON cabinet technician I'd move to China and work in the factory. I should have just bought some plastic bins for my files and stacked them up.

Sturdy File Cabinet

I am honestly not 100% if it is an actual HON brand, which is what I was looking for. There is no HON logo, and the HON interchangeable keys do not work with it, nor does this key work for our HON file cabinets. It is a nice sturdy file cabinet, but you can get that for less.

I spent much time searching for a high capacity, quality filing cabinet for our home office/business office. This one is perfect for my needs! I was excited to find this one! The color is a light gray/putty (not tan, as pictured). It is sturdy, high quality, and well built. The hanging file bars can be customized and moved to fit any sort of file...letter or legal. Very happy with this product. The first one was delivered with some damage on the front, but the 2nd one is perfect! It took some time to get since it was coming from the west coast to the east coast, but it was well worth the wait! Time to get organized now!

So far excellent. Set up was easy. It’s a Hon and I got light gray which didn’t look light gray in the pic. It’s a nice shade of light gray. It’s not heavy duty status but sturdy. All 4 drawers lock. It comes with two keys. I would buy it again!!!

A Better Quality File Cabinet

Overall, I'm pleased with this cabinet. However, it arrived with a scrap on the front of the cabinet and one of the doors has bow to it. I believe this is related to how the unit is packed for shipping.There are many exposed areas. They should provide additional protection for shipping. The drawers move smoothly and the unit is attractive and substantial. Would buy again. I would have given 5 Stars if not for the shipping damage.

Nice Cabinet but no hanging rails

Office Depot just delivered my new Lateral file cabinet. It is great condition but there are no rails to hang the files inside. I was on hold for 15 minutes while the Office Depot rep spoke to HON, the manufacturer. She then directed me to the HON website and told me I needed to fill out a contact submission to let HON to contact me. Not sure how long this will take, but in the meantime I cannot use the cabinet.

Not as pictured & different size

The cabinet received is not the size described. It is an inch shorter and not as deep. The top drawer comes out to make a shelf so there is a wide band under the first drawer. It is a newer style that does not match picture or size on website.

Sturdy and HEAVY

Ordered this for my modest home office and it is certainly constructed well. It is very heavy, though, so a bit of a challenge when it arrived before my helpers were here to move it inside! Check weight in spec’s to be ready - to clear that paperwork from shelves and counters like I will.

Broken lock

Ordered the Hon Brigade lateral file cabinet. Beautiful cabinet and sturdy but we couldn’t unlock it! We leveled it perfectly but it would not open. The key was the correct key for the lock. Called to return it and ordered another one only to find out later that there weren’t anymore in stock! We ended up keeping the first cabinet and my husband had to jimmy all the drawers open. Now we just don't lock it.
