This Farm Innovators heated rock bird bath de-icer works very well for our concrete bird bath. The cord should be longer so you can connect easily. I recommend you get a cord protector to cover where your cords connect.

Great Performance! Exactly What I Wanted!

This is a great heater! I have a lot of birds and we had a cold week where temperatures were -20 and windchills of -40 and it held up better than I thought it could, there was a layer of thin ice on top but the birds were still able to drink from a good sized hole that didn’t freeze over and beneath the thin layer of ice was water! I have a black round rubber bowl that I use on top of the concrete bird bath with a rock in the bottom probably holds about 3 gallons of water ( I have a wildlife habitat) this heated rock stays in the bottom without having to hold it down with a rock. I wish the cord was a bit longer, but definitely not a problem. I will definitely be purchasing another one to have on hand.

If your winter temps don't drop below 20 degrees this heater works well. Not so after they drop lower. I had high hopes this would help keep the bird bath ice free but it's just not powerful enough.

Best one on the market! I have used this de-icer for several years. The one I recently purchased replaces one that has out lasted all the other models I've tried over the years. While none of them are "perfect" by keeping the birdbath ice free regardless of the temperature this one does the best job. The primary reason it lasts longer is the products wattage of 75 watts and the quality. It is greater than others I've found. Keep in mind the birdbath needs to be at least 1 inch deep and the heater should be covered with water for best results. Buy one, you won't be disappointed!

Evaporates water quickly.

Works well but we need to refill birdbath multiple times a day as it evaporates quickly. Would be nice if it were made shallower or in a ring to fit in the deeper part of the bath.

This heated rock works great, only comes on when the temp gets down to 35 degrees. It has a nice weight to it, stays in place.

Just put this in my birdbath this morning when there was a thin layer of ice formed at the surface of the water. Seems to work great; neither the birds or I were electrocuted!! Glad I can provide water to my wild friends this winter.

I just received the birdbath heaters. It won't be long now to try them out. I'm impressed with the weight of each heater. I purchased the aluminum heaters last year. They worked good i had to weight them down with a brick.

I bought a bird bath heater from Amazon used for 3 months and it quite working and the seller NEVER restore to any of the dozen plus requests I made to replace it. So now I have this one that has a 3 yr warrants.

My item was send to the wrong store. I wanted it to go to the store on Hudson Drive in Stow,Ohio. Istead it went to a store in Akron. Walmart com order #2677895-314377. I got the same item from Heywood without any problems. Would never order from Walmart com again.

Great Winter Heater

This was a replacement for the same heater that went bad after 7 winters of use. I haven't used the new one yet because the weather hasn't turned cold enough. I'm hoping to get 7 years out of this one. I was happy to find this on walmart.com for a good price.
