Door issues but made right

Just what I needed for few tools and stuff. Easy to put together. BUT initially one of the doors was warped so if left a big gap on the hinge side when shut. However, customer service and response was excellent. After sending some photos, trying a work-around of laying the door in the sun (very little this November), Rubbermaid replaced the entire door without any cost to me.

Perfect! Not too big, not too small, very easy to assemble! You won’t be disappointed. It’s not too deep. Great for storing on the deck. Easy access to quick needs.

A good storage shed!

this is an excellent storage shed. I added a few shelves inside so I can store smaller items on the top. I was even able to get my weed wacker inside the shed along with all my car washing and oil changing equipment and tools. If your looking for a indoor/outdoor shed to store your items,this Rubber

Small Vertical Shed. The box arrived today 9/18/23 early (was excited). The box was beat up and had a big hole in the bottom (my suspicions kicked in). Turns out I was right, all the hardware and door handles are missing. Only the big parts remained in the box. Just missed closing time for rubbermaid, so I will update this review later if I can. Right now not very happy, but not exactly Rubbermaid's fault, unless they shipped it that way (still suspicious).

Major Component Missing

I went to assemble the storage shed on an extremely hot and humid afternoon come to find out a major piece was missing mid way through. Back panel F was missing and back panel D was duplicated making it impossible to achieve the pitched roof needed for the roof piece to fit even if I was able to rig it. I suppose this is a simple mistake but it is extremely frustrating and inconvenient now having to repackage and return it. It is also frustrating that I am not able to exchange for a new one with the proper pieces as it is now out of stock. The new model costs twice as much money. Some of the pieces did not seem to want to snap together as listed in the instructions I had to force them making it feel like they were going to break. Hopefully I'm the only one who had such bad luck with this storage shed.

Arrived perfect. Box was wrapped in plastic for the weather. I read reviews where people receive damage items that was not my experience. Went together quickly does require a drill with a 1/8 inch bit and Phillips head, as well as a rubber mallet and dish soap. Instructions were easy took a little less than an hour I would say, but we didn’t have to put down a base.

EXPENSIVE MISTAKE

We cannot build or use this EXTREMELY expensive product. The screws, the roof brace, and the lock hasp that are indicated as included are NOT included. I bought an expensive Rubbermaid product (even though the price is sky high!) because I thought Rubbermaid would be better quality. They do NOT answer their customer service emails and they do NOT answer their customer service phone lines. Unusable product and no way to fix the problems.

I built this by myself in about 2 hours (my husband broke his elbow and could not help so luckily this was an easy one woman project.) The instructions are easy to follow, and I only needed my 8 year old to hold walls a couple times. I placed it outside next to our deck to hold all of our holiday decorations and storage bins so that I could remove shelving in the garage to hang mirrors and create a dance studio for us. I'm very pleased with the shed. It's great for stacking plastic storage bins. I've got it loaded to the max without pushing the walls.

Anchoring the top along the rear of shed was difficult at best. There are no pilot holes for screws, and the area is recessed. I was unable to use any of my magnetic screw holders on my drills because the area was too narrow. You don't realize the difficulty until the top is already in place if you're following the directions. Other than that, the shed went together fairly easy. My main gripe with the shed is that you need the custom Rubbermaid shelf anchors to properly install shelves. There are sixteen points where you need the anchors, so naturally Rubbermaid only gives you four of the necessary pieces. You can buy more from Rubbermaid (and you pay for shipping), but after spending $400.00 for the shed, you shouldn't have to buy the simple accessories you need to actually use the shed to it's best advantage. I estimate the cost of the extra twelve hardware pieces at about three dollars U.S. (at most). I guess this was just too much for Rubbermaid. This is my last Rubbermaid product.

This seems to be the best choice on the market for a shed of this size and configuration. Since I just received it, I cannot say anything about durability, especially the problem of deflection if hit by the sun or affected otherwise by temperature. It goes together well and seems sturdy. One glitch was that the package did not contain all the parts, so I had to call to have the lock hasp sent separately, as it was missing from the package. I wish the following:

I bought two sheds. These little sheds are exactly what I needed to store small items that were just cluttering up my garage. I put pegboard on the walls of one of them for hanging numerous small items and still had the floor for storage of my pressure washer and other items. This Rubbermaid shed turned out to be just what I ordered. I live in Central California so I'm not worried about it holding up in extreme weather. I ordered two so I could put all my gardening equipment away and free up garage space. I put them up about a month ago. It was easy to put together, but you should read the instructions to make sure you're doing it properly. I had a buddy help and it does require two people. It's not heavy, you just need that extra set of hands. It's not for storing anything valuable; although you can put a lock on the door, the plastic latch could easily be whittled through with a pocket knife. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
