[Rewarded Review] Horrible fabric and color

This was not as pictured online - the color is a weird flesh color, and the fabric is silky and cheap. Absolutely awful. Also, be warned: When I went to return this, I was told I could not because it was from a "3rd party vendor." The return process I had done online meant nothing. I now have to fight to get my money back.

Quality eas a little bit less than I thought they were going to be, fabric looked a little cheap hanging up. The color was also a little bit darker than the picture showed (i ordered the Belgian Flax). I also have white walls and white trim and it was too dark. I sent these back.,

Very pleased with these

We have 4 of these in our family room and we really love them. I added a custom valance top to them. We like that there are no cords dangling down bc our dog thinks he is a cat and sits on the back of the sofa and could get tangled if there were. I also like the texture of them.

These shades are awesome if they are not crooked. We ordered three pair and they work well, except two of the three are crooked when you pull them up. I can’t fix it. Otherwise, they are great. The mechanism for the cordless pull is great and they definitely darken our room.

Love these custom looking shades

Loved these shades! We were replacing our ugly white faux wood shades that came w/ the house. These fit perfectly, we’re super easy to install, and glide up and down effortlessly from the bottom. Love the way they look. The color is a light beige. Offers privacy but still let’s some light through….

Fabric not as pictured

I purchased these based on reviews claiming they were a great dupe for true linen shades and the photos seemed to support those claims. They look nothing like the photos on the product page. The material is smooth and shapeless and looks very cheap. They shades were easy to install and seem well made but no amount of decent construction can overcome the awful fabric.

Best value

These are so nice. They were super easy to install. They fit the windows perfectly and the glind up and down with ease. I will be buying more. I have bought and installed multiple types of blinds and curtains. Installing these was just as easy as a cutain rod if not easier. They are very securely mounted with no wiggles. My 9 and 7 year old can use them with complete ease.

Decent Shades but not black-out

I bought two of these for my living room. They are real easy to install. Took 10 min to put up 2. They pull down with ease but opening them is a little odd. It's not difficult nor is it complicated, it just feels odd that you don't feel anything. You just push them up and the open. Others I've had you felt a little something when you open it, but that being said, they open fine without issue. The only reason I gave 4 star and not 5 is because they are not blackout shades. They do reduce the light but you can see the light behind the shade. If you don't want to see the light or looking for a room darkening shade this isn't for you. If you don't mind seeing the light on the other side then these are fine. I was satisfied enough that i purchased two more.

Great Shades

These are nice shades for the price. Easy to install and work great. Probably better for a longer window. I didn't need the length and they look better 3/4 of the way down my kitchen window or all the way retracted. Not room darkening but a bit more than light filtering. When completely retracted that portion does block the light. Also, they need steaming out of the box which you can see on the other review photos.

Poor quality!

The photos of this Roman shade are very deceiving. The actual product is very cheap. The material is extremely thin and looks nothing like the picture. This Roman shade is of poor quality. I would not recommend this item at all. Also, if you order this item and are unsatisfied with the quality because it looks nothing like the representation in the photo, you are responsible for return shipping. Buyer Beware!!

[Rewarded Review] Great Shade!

These blinds are a beautiful fabric. They are chocolate brown so they go with any decor. The material is soft and easy to spot clean. The blinds go up and down easily. I love that they are cordless so I do not have any safety concerns for my kids or animals getting caught in the cord. I also like that this shade is light filtering so some light comes through, however I still have the needed privacy of the blind. I would recommend this product to anybody needed a new shade.

[Rewarded Review] Nice window shade

This is review for Chicology Belgian Chocolate Cordless Light Filtering Privacy Polyester Roman Shades 29 in. W x 64 in. L, Belgian Chocolate (Privacy & Light Filtering). I put this in my son's bedroom. He has an east-facing window which gets very bright and hot in the morning. I was looking for something that can effectively blocks sun light. This shade does the trick. And it looks nice with the rest of the room. I would recommend.

[Rewarded Review] Very well made cordless shade!

This Belgian chocolate cordless privacy shade in the Roman style is stylish and gives you the privacy needed. No cords to get tangled up! All you have to.do is pull them down by the pull already on the shade. To open them up ,is just a touch away! The front side is a chocolate color and the back is a white fabric side. Hardware to mount the shade is included. Down near the bottom of the shade is a stabilizer bar on each side to keep the shade taunt if that's what you want. If you don't want to use them, the shade looks and works just fine.It filters the light very well.I would recommend these for any room!

[Rewarded Review] very functional roman shade, mountable in at least 3 ways.

This is a nice shade which has a white backing cloth, and in this case, a dark brown fabric facing inwards. The unit comes with 2 box clips which you can use to mount this either inside a window well on the upper side, or flush on the wall above the window. Then if space is needed like for a door, you can do some minor fabrication, and drill a couple holes in the back side of the top of the shade. I show some pictures mounting it on a door window, but considering this particular shade was listed at 64" length, realize when the shade is fully up, it covers about 12 inches or so below the mount. So if you want the window fully uncovered to allow in sunlight, then you must ensure your measurements add at least 12 inches, and the space above the window has at least 12 inches available to mount. Otherwise as you can see in my pictures, a substantial portion of the top side of the window will be covered if you are trying to cover a 64 inch sized window. Outside of that planning issue, this is a nice shade which works pretty well. As in many other cordless shades, it can still be raised and get uneven if you do not gradually push up on the shade evenly. I do recommend this if it fits your needs.

[Rewarded Review] Great over a storm door

The Chicology Light Filtering Privacy Roman Shade works great blocking out the early morning sun. Sitting in our screen porch drinking our morning coffee, the rising sun brightly shines through the glass storm door glaring in our faces. With a quick pull of the shade it covers the glass, filtering nearly all but just a soft glow from the sun. Surprisingly little effort is needed to lower or raise the shade. It can easily be hung any way that you want, within the window frame, over it, or ceiling mount.

Poor design and functionality.

I’m not sure if we received a defective product or if the cordless lifting design is just weak, but the quality of the shade is sub-par at best for the price paid. It does not “lift” evenly, if at all. The fabric and weight are nice (hence the second star), but that’s pretty useless when the shade won’t function properly. The mounting brackets are robust, metal, and require 3 screws, but the mounting portion on the shade is very thin, flimsy plastic. So odd!

Poor customer service

Ordered Chicology Belgian Flax 33"x60". Ordered for three windows. Paid over $321 ! For this price I was expecting something better. First of all instalation is terible. So hard to clip it in the place, strugled a lot. Then when hanged the third one ,the bottom is crooked. The way its made! No matter how I tried its crooked. See attached. The color is not exactly flattering, especially when pulled down and light filtering through. Then tried to exchange at least to diferent color, because Im stuck with this brand hardware, no luck! Customer service announce that they dont handle exchanges! Advised to order new, but there are no size available for color that I want. One word VERY DISSAPOINTING!

This was disappointing. While the shade is fairly attractive (it does feel a bit plastic, as noted in other reviews, but folds nicely and you can't tell unless you touch it), there is very little 'light-filtering' going on, and certainly no 'privacy'. On sunny second story windows, I estimate the light decrease at only about 15-20% and as for privacy, your outline and other personal 'details' are clearly visible at night through the shade. Perhaps a darker color is more effective; I have the white. We are keeping the one we already installed in the nursery but definitely returning one bought to cover a bathroom window. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it is attractive from the inside and easy to install.

5 Stars

The fabric is a lot thinner than the picture shows. Light does pass through it. It's not sew evenly between the sections and it doesn't always stay where you position it at. It falls lower. OK for a temporary fix on my window. The polyester fabric is definitely not high-quality. I hung two of the 48" wide Roman Shades side by side on a very large window. Simple installation. Basic "L" bracket screwed into the studs above the wood window frame with no issues.
