Extremely low quality materials

These lights function, but are 100% made of crummy cheap plastic material. The light, pole and spike fit very loosely together and come apart very easily. I'm sure I will find them on the ground often.

2 Hour Max Solar Light

I purchased these lights as they were large and seemed quite bright and thought they would look really nice along the side of my house. The instructions stated that they should be charged for 12 hours to get maximum light time. I put them outside in the early morning on a sunny day, and they only stayed lit for 2-3 hours that night. Although disappointed, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and let them charge the next day, which was also very sunny, and got the same result. I am very disappointed, especially since Bell and Howell are a trusted name. I already requested a refund from QVC, and as a loyal and very satisfied QVC customer, I know they'll make this right.

Had 4 Months and 1 Has Stopped Working Already!!!

Placed order on April 20, 2024; item arrived April 25, 2024. Loved these until one of them stopped working on August 28, 2024. I don't see a way to replace a bulb or battery and not happy that a product that is only four months old has stopped working. Sure, the other three still work, for now...but I wanted four as the layout of my rock garden needed. :-(

I would give it a 5 star rating, except one of the lights will not change from (orange?) flicker. All of the other lights work perfectly, but no matter how many times I push the "change color button", it just stays the flicker color.

We enjoyed the first 4 pack so much we purchased another. These solar powered units run all night on the :Flame: setting and about 2/3 of the night on the white light. Very satisfied with the purchase. Am recommending to all our friends for the summer . . . . . and beyond.

Not Worth It

These lights are very poor quality. I purchased SIX sets and the batteries lasted 5 months and several of the solar panel tops on the lights are already ruined from the weather. A few of the light panels actually just blew off in the weather after only 5 months. Definitely not worth the price at this poor quality.

I am extremely disappointed with these lights. I bought four boxes 12 lights total. The color changing aspects of these lights is why I got them and it’s fantastic idea. Thought they would be great for holiday lighting. The problem is they start to go out within a couple hours of sundown some of them within one hour even on bright long sunny days of 10+ hours of direct sunlight. Nowhere near the claimed 6 to 9 hours of lighting. Sun went down 6 PM the other day five of 12 lights or dark by 7:10 and all of the lights were dark before 8:30 PM.

I relly like these

I bought 2 packs and at first was very disappointed. 2 of the 8 stopped working after a week. I checked the batteries and realized they were just loose - they have been working great ever since. I love that I can adjusts the colors, and they are pretty bright. If any of yours happen to stop working, make sure to check the batteries for a snug fit.

Solar multicolored pathway lights.

I bought the outdoor solar multicolored pathway lights with remove about a week ago. I absolutely love all the options available. The remote is easy to operate. The colours are rich and the white light is bright. I have purchased many Bell&Howell items over the past few years and find the quality is great.

Very bright

I purchased a set of these for my special needs nephew and they are fantastic. He is my brother's and sister and laws son and all of their neighbors have commented on how gorgeous they are. My brother said they are so bright and stay lit until the sun comes up. My nephew loves the remote and being able to change the colors. Even though they are made of plastic they are extremely sturdy. I am considering ordering another set for him, four just isn't enough. Highly recommend.

Very Unhappy

I ordered these lights thinking they would be a great product since they were from Bell & Howell. Well, how wrong was I. The stakes are for flemsy. I went to put one in the ground and almost fell because it bent. I would have expected the stake to, at least, have been more durable; a heavier weight and thickness. I wish some company would make these types of lights with a metal stake so they wouldn't bend and you could push them into the ground easier. I am very disappointed with this product.

Great features

Gave only 4/5 stars. I bought 4 boxes, had to return one due to 1 faulty light. However, all working well for the past 2 wks. Very nice as you can select with your remote different colors. However, best one is the ambient slow flicker mode. Each light can be set at different colors. I am not sure how long they will last but know that I will have to buy rechargeable batteries in a few years. But worth it as low maintenance. More in cost than most as you are paying for the features.

conversation lighting

I purchased these lights and I am so glad I did because they are awesome. The remote range is awesome compared to other devices. Not to mention, the colors are terrific and the flame mode is my favorite. The lights would light up a backyard. I have no regrets with my purchase. Strongly recommend these to all family and friends

1 defective

I was skeptical about these with all the reviews that they didn't last all night. I've had them up for maybe a week now, and they last well into the morning when using the flame setting. I have not tested any of the other settings over night. The lights are nice but the overall quality doesn't seem to be much better than the cheaper 8 pack I bought from another brand before. I wanted something that would hold up longer since the old ones I had were very cheap looking. Overall they look nicer, but wouldnt say the quality is different. Still cheaply made, basically only paying for the extra light/color features, so we will see how they hold up in a year. I am mostly satisfied. The only reason I am leaving 3 stars is that one light came defective. I ordered two boxes but 1/4 not working right out the box is super inconvenient. I won't be going through the trouble of sending the whole pack back and waiting for a replacement pack (who knows if all those will even work) just because 1 isn't working. Wanted to leave an honest review since I know I never trust promo reviews. I decided to take the risk but wouldn't buy this product again.

These solar powered lights are fantastic. My first oder of six solar lights never only lasted about 2 months (another brand). Finally 3 quit altogether and they only lasted 2 hours. I returned them all and ordered the Bell and Howell. These work perfectly and I love the remote. several were partially shaded. I didn't expect those to come on at all. But they all work perfectly. Icertainly recommend them.

The remote does not operate as advertised. Once set up, we tryed to control the light changing color mode on remote & the lights stayed on for 30 seconds then went off. Also the color chosen randomly changed to a color we did not choose. We will be returning this set. The advertising is very convincing though.

These Bell & Howell Path Lights are really great. They are very easy to install, look very nice and provide excellent lighting for our pathway. After only a few hours in the sun they stayed on for several hours after dark. They were still on when I went to bed late in the evening so I don't really know how long they stayed on. The remote control is very helpful. You can set each light individually to either white, green, blue ,red or flame and can also set them to cycle automatically through the colors red, green, blue and white. We've had several comments about how nice they look.

We have a leased campground site that we enjoy for half the year. It's our home away from home, so we're always looking for ways to improve the small yard space. It does get very dark there at night, so solar lights seem like a great idea. This 4 pack is perfect for our needs. I love the remote feature and that they can be removed from the stake in case we need more light at the table. I was afraid they'd be really top heavy and tip easy, but the actually don't. They also give out a surprising amount of light.

I absolutely love these pathway lights! I love that they have a remote, although I do wish it came with a holder of some sort to keep better track of it. I think the option to switch between the white light ( which is amazingly bright) and the flame ( which is beautiful) is great. my favorite feature though has to be that they are solar powered! You can turn them on and leave them on, and once the sun sets they come on automatically! I received many compliments from visitors and will likely purchase another set.

We live in an area that is barely lit. So our backyard is very dark at night. We received these and I couldn’t be happier with them. Super sturdy/not flimsy like other brands we’ve purchased in the past. These are built to last. We keep it on the “flame” at night and it’s my favorite. Seriously, really pretty and realistic. They’re large too - not tiny and they light the area very well on both settings. I love that they automatically turn on in the evening and shut off when the sun hits them. Get these now! I plan to buy a couple more sets.
